Who beleivs that there is a secret of life?

I don't believe so. Life in itself is a secret to many people.

Not me. I feel that the idea of a 'secret' is purly a human thing yet we are just on species amongst millions of animals, plants and bacterium. If there is a secret of life, who is keeping it a secret? Well since I don't believe in God, I would have to say no one, and if no one is keeping the secret there can't be a secret.

Although there is a lot about the universe that we don't know, life within the universe is just one aspect of it, we are after all  the only planet know to contain life amongst the 315 planets yet discovered, and those plantes have only been discovered orbitting the nearest handful of stars. If every star contains at least one planet the number would be too big to comprehend.

There is no reason why one specific species on one specific planet within one specific solar system within one specific galaxy should be the centre of everything. In the aftermath of days gone by where people believed planet earth was the centre of the solar system and by extention the centre of the universe, an aspect of that egocentric thinking still remains so that some people still feel we are still the centre of the universe but in a non-literal sense.

Secret of life..... meaning.... do I think there is some thing about life that is hidden and nobody is allowed to tell me?

YES - - exactly HOW life came to exist, WHEN exactly humans began, and WHY humans at all.  Someone somewhere really does know the answers or has solid proof.

Maybe the real question should be, "What do you think the secret of life is"?

Part of that answer is being appreciative for the things you have as well as living fully in the present moment (which helps to achieve the former goal). The fact of that matter is most unhappiness is caused by ourselves. Other than the basics of food, shelter, some companionship, most happiness is not circumstantial but has more to do with attitude.

If we simply recognize our blessings then by this sheer awareness we can obtain happiness which often enables us to help others to achieve similar satisfaction in their lives (which is another part to the secret of life, helping others).

Well sort of, i don't really think it's a secret.

If you take it easy, think positively, and don't let things stress you out too much then you will have a good life regardless of anything else.

James Taylor. Listen to the lyrics of his song"The Secret of Life."  But I like John Lennon's ideas in "Mind Games" even better  He says its about love and that's the best answer I've ever found.

I think there is a secret to life!  And it is very simple... seek out to find the person you are on the inside, because there is nothing more radiant in all facets of life than internal beauty.  The problem is, this take so much energy and effort, and it sometimes means having to be vulnerable to let other people see what you are made of.

the secret to life is that if a circle is infinitely large then its also a perfectly straight line...

if you perceive life to be experienced as a straight line, as a continuous sequence of events each moving in an orderly fashion from future to present to past, consider that it is a circle also.

If you perceive life to be experienced as a circle, as made up of a countless number of repeating experiences, from our daily routines, to changing tides, and the 4 seasons, some of which could be considered eternal, consider that it is all actually a single straight line of happenings.

If you perceive it as both, reconcile such an impossiblity, and you have the secret.
