  1. Yes China won this time. What they won is the official gold medal ranking used by IOC and every non-U.S. nation. What did they actually win? National Pride. And yes China will dominate in gold but only in summer Olympics.  


  2. Why bother?  It's not the competition among countries.  It is the show time for all the athletes aroung the world.  

  3. China has, at least for this Olympics. China won by 15 gold medals. US won by 10 non-gold medals. The winner for this Olympics is obvious.

  4. Look up Project 119, it's an initiative created by the chinese to become dominant in olympic sports that have multiple medals like swimming and track and field.  Ironically though, it failed.  They won hardly any medals in the sports outlined in 119, but won in everything else.



    They manufacture athletes to complete.  They may have won more gold medals, but the US won the most medals with a even mix of gold, silver, and bronze.  So it depends on how you measure success.

    Also, don't forget the winter olympics, China is nowhere near as dominant in the winter olympics.  They are trying, but there are a lot more countries with excellent winter olympic programs.

  5. what are you talking about? Do you mean all future olympics? Just because china wins the most golds one year doesn't mean that it's gonna happen till the end of all times. Why do people get so hyped up when someone beats the US at something. Big f--ing deal.

  8. If you include both the Summer and Winter Olympics then no. The USA will probably take the highest amount of medals (gold too) if you add both together. China doesn't do so well at the Winter Olympics.

  10. Ok, how many times does this have to be stated?  China did not win, the USA did not win.  No country won, because it is imposible to win the Olympics.  Only athletes win their events.

    You are saying China won by 15, so what grand prize did they win???
