  1. haha i love that book 'Meg'

there is a possibility that there could be a megalodon or a similar fish somewhere in the ocean that is yet to be explored by man

  2. There is no similar shark close to the Megalodon's actual size. The Whale shark is the largest shark and it grows to a maximum of 13m. It also is a very docile shark and not similar to the Megalodon.

The Great White is the largest shark that is similar to the Megalodon, but it grows to a maximum of 7m.

As for its existance today, although it would be interesting, there is no evidence to support it and therefore no reason to believe it still swims the Earth's waters.

  3. It would be very interesting if they were still alive, but there is no evidence and very little possibility of the megalodon still being alive.

The climate on Earth is much different than it was when that shark was around. If it was alive, nobody has seen one so it would have to live in very deep water. Therefore having to eat planktonic species and fish. It just couldn't survive on that kind of diet.

But I still hope, one day, that someone will find one. It would be so cool =]
