  1. Nobody bought it, they renamed it Con-Am


  2. When Bombardier decided to sell the recreational division to help generate working capitol for it's aerospace and rail divisions a few years ago several members of the Bombardier family purchased the division and are now having it run as Bombardier Recreational Products... BRP.

    This division contains Can-AM, Sea-doo, Evinrude, Johnson, Rotax and other divisions.

    That's why the company has retained the name Bombardier.

    The new owners are the descendants of the family that originally founded the company.

  3. I find no record of a sale of BRP.  I'm guessing there may have been a restructure within Bombardier's huge empire.

    The company name is "CAN-AM"

    And they've added a Y frame motorcycle to their offerings now called the "Spider." It's a reverse trike design...drive wheel in back and 2 steering wheels upfront.
