Who built the Tour de Cesar castle in Provins, France?

I need as much information as possible. Like Interesting facts about it, Who built it, Why they did, When, Where, and How it was built. Is it still standing? If any of y ou know anythingabout this it would be really helpful.

  1. Unlike what suggest its name, the Tour César was built in the 12th century, not in Roman times. It is first mentioned in a document dating back from 1137.

    It was used as a watchtower first and then as a jail.

    It was modified in the 16th century (addition of a roof, bells).
