  1. The Aboriginal people of Australia used natural resources to construct, mostly temporary, housing. They also relied on the environment to dictate the type and style of housing.

As for who built the dwellings, this was a "family" effort and thus men, women and children contributed to the construction of shelters. As a nomadic people these were only ever used to shelter from the elements and not considered permanent.

  2. Usually, the men did this.  When longhouses were built (eg, the Iroquois), it would have been a group effort.

I don't really know what you're asking for in this question.

  3. the aborogines of australia lived in caves formed by the waves over time. when the sea died down the caves appeared and became shelter for the aborogines.

  4. I'm sure the Aboriginals did.

  5. Knowing the way the world works....I would imagine it was the women!

Aboriginal peoples seem to divide the work-load thus, men hunt, fish and sit around making tools and weapons, and they make all the decisions, and are shaman and controllers of any religious activities and do battle with other men.

Women gather firewood, look for plants/cultivate plants, clean, cook, make cloth, fetch water, do the washing, look after the babies and the elderly, carry heavy loads, nurse the sick....in fact, any job that a man doesn't find appealing.....so on balance I reckon they would be made to make the shelters.
