My mom has a really bad diabetic infection and she visits the ER almost everyday. Our bill is going to become outrageous if she continues to visit. I was wondering where I can buy cheap health care for her so this wont be too much of a problem. My mom is 48 years old if that helps. Thank you!

  1. Hope this resources is useful for your question,It is working for me.Have a look,it is free.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  2. Most states have a "high risk pool," however it'll be far from "cheap."  Call the insurance department in your state or look it up online using those terms and her state of residence.

Public assistance may be an option if she has no means...or very little..as was mentioned.

    Good luck,

  3. No private insurer is going to sell you a policy for cheap, that's going to cover something that's already wrong.   Just think about it - they'd go out of business if they did.

If she was perfectly healthy, a policy for her with a low deductible, would probably exclude the diabetes, and cost about $500 a month.

She needs welfare insurance - Medicaid - or she can try to find a job with access to group health insurance.  Those are her choices.

Nice of you to try to help her out, though.

  4. Have you tried getting her approved for Medicaid? If you apply now, and she gets approved, chances are they will go back a couple of months, if you ask.

I seriously doubt you'll be able to find cheap health insurance for her at this point, not from a reputable source.

  5. Try this one - http://healthplans.my-age.net - I personally have their health insurance. As I know they can provide coverage with preexisting condition, including diabetic.

  6. Because she already receiving medical treatment for a condition it would be hard to find an insurance company willing to cover her with excluding her current condition.

Most likely your best bet would be to go to the consumer section of your states Department of Insurance" website. They might provide information that can help you find some sort of assistance for your mom.

To find your states department of insurance go to: http://mysite.verizon.net/ressg6c7/savin... and then click on your state.  Once you are on their site look for any links in their site that refers to consumers.

    Hope you find help.

God Bless and Be with Your Mom!
