Who can afford to drive these days?

I finally did it - I stopped driving completely and I actually like it better this way.No guilt! And I get to read and day dream :-) I live in LA and take the bus or train everywhere (LA has a pretty sophisticated, though totally underused, mass transit system). If you are addicted to oil and can't afford your fix anymore, try quitting!

  1. I wish our city had a better public transportation system.  It has an okay one, but not widely used.  Plus, with 4 small children, it would be difficult to take public transport.  However, I don't usually go anywhere that's not walking distance.  I plan to get bikes for all of us by the fall (we've been saving since March), and then we can all ride our bikes to the school to drop off my kindergartener.  Yea!

  2. I admire you, we cant fix the whole world at once, but if each person did their small part, there would be no problem. I keep trying.
