Who can dispute Sundin as the best UFA this year?

People atleast in canada are sick of earing about Sundin, but what they dont realize he was the true big fish in this UFA season. he isnt one you start building your team around but if you are missing one piece of the puzzle for the Cup like Mtl or Det or the Pens he can be the one thing you need t win the cup. Hossa cant play like Sundin nor can campbell this year "big UFAs" niether has the all round game that sundin brings to the team. so in canada people are complaining about hearing too much about sundin but guess what he is the best thing out there. anyone disagree?

I would never want to sign a player that, on July 22, doesn't know if he has "enough energy" to play next season...

The Canucks and Leafs are crazy for wasting their time and potential money on this guy...

Sundin may be one of the worst UFA's this year...

Well Hossa still has 40 goal ability, especially with good linemates like he now has on Detroit, whereas Sundin has only had one 40 goal season this decade and was in the low 30's last season. This is age aside, where Hossa is early 30's, and Sundin has 3 seasons left in him, max.

I'd disagree strongly with Sundin over Hossa, and the Campbell argument isn't even accurate/fair since Campbell is a defenseman.

In all, I'd say Sundin was the biggest behind Hossa, then Rolston, Demitra, Holik, as far as forwards go, and put Campbell after Rolston.

Sundin is big, but Hossa was bigger in the forwards department.  Hossa is still in the middle of his physical prime, and is that sniping winger that a lot of teams want.  Even though it's apples to oranges, I would put Campbell ahead of Sundin, since Campbell is one of the rare hybrid defensemen that can play both ways very well, a talent that few d-men have.  Sundin is great, but he's at the end of his peak potential and is slated for a downturn in production very soon.

I hope Sundin signs with the Leafs or Canucks this year because they are my least favorite teams, and they'll surely suck.

Sorry, but Hossa was the big fish. Sundin is good, but he's nearing the end of his career.
