It was seriously getting boring watching them follow one car around all the time, but now we have a rivalry starting just in time for the chase. You might like both, neither, or one or the other but either way they both have personalities and hate to lose, so why does everyone get their panties in a bunch because they show some personality?? I think it's a good thing!!

  1. I agree - they definitely added some much needed excitement. I'll be front row at Richmond in two weeks and I hope the race is just as awesome as it was last night.

  2. I agree with Danny, #18s #1 fan, and Tbone, and I strongly disagree with Melissa. That's just sad and wrong.

Surely your life isn't that bad to wish something like that on someone you've never met? Ask yourself if you would like to see that happen to your favorite...didn't think so.

BTW in this battle I'm rooting for Kyle Busch all the way, and yes NASCAR is a lot more fun to watch this season. I don't wish accidents like Melissa described on anyone.

  3. I agree with Wooley and Danny except I like the new car and what it brings and Danny forgot to mention that a lot of fans are more hypocritical then anything NASCAR does.  Just take a look a the post above him .  The woman is a fan of the the ******** team, owner and drivers and she resorts to making fun of someones looks.

Who was the last driver to bully his team owner of 15 years into selling her team to him?  There hasn't been one.  That's arrogance.

Who was the last driver to promise a bunch of wins?  There hasn't been one.  That's cocky.  At least Carl and Kyle back it up.

  4. You could'nt have said it better. NASCAR needs more rivalries. A lot of NASCAR fans(not all) need to stop complaining and enjoy the drivers that tangle , have bad attitudes , speak bad to the media or drivers that bad mouth each other. Hey it makes NASCAR so much more entertaining, so lets encourage a little rivalry and quit whining. Get over it fans ( not all of you ).

  5. I was hoping that nudge that Carl Edwards gave kyle would cause kyle to loose control of his car then go flipping about 5 times then land upside down. And it wouldn't have been complete unless the car caught on fire.

  6. Did you see the clips they played before the race?

All the bumps and rubs and almost-fist-fights?

And now we watch Carl nudge Kyle to take the lead.

Then Kyle bumps the #%$& out of Carl after the checkers , and then Carl spins Kyle in return. That was good stuff!

But NASCAR wants to spank these guys after the race! Again , I ask you...did you see the pre-race footage of the same kind of stuff from days gone by?

    NASCAR has gotten so hypocritical!

Not to mention that the "car of today" totally sucks! And Bristol just ain't the same after they repaved it!

I almost can't watch the sport anymore!

    Almost....

  7. I am a DIE HARD NASCAR Fan...

I prefer the Hedrick Racing Crew

Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr

I do not dislike Carl Edwards but I can not stand Kyle nor his brother Kurt..

What he shows is NOT personality it is called being conceited and cocky and it is not attractive at all

  8. That is the problem, one of them , with NASCAR. The France family and Helton wants everyone to be vanilla and politically correct.

  9. Yeah it's a lot of fun, like old school NASCAR. You like to start stuff don't you?LOL! Keeps it fun.

  10. That is not "entertainment" that is called DRAMA.

No i do not fault Kyle or Carl i fault the Network(s).

  11. I love Bristol!!!It brings out the worst in a driver!!!!I l like the tempers flaring and the cars a crashing.

  12. Not me. I was there last night and it was a great race!

  13. fault them? h**l, i've said it before and i'll say it again - nascar should give those two bonus checks. not only did they shut the critics up about how boring bristol has become (at least for last night), but they have set the stage for an epic battle to the checkers at homestead. and also as i've said before, i'd much rather watch a good battle between two (or more) strong competitors who hate to lose than watch one guy waltz away with it all. of course, i'd like my guy to come out on top in the end, but even if he doesn't, i'm sure looking forward to watching them go at it...

  14. I also think its a great thing to have the rivalry

But what is wrong with you melissa?! why would you ever wish that on someone? You dont even know him

  15. That is a seriously good question.  I agree with you.  Go Carl!

  16. wow, you finally asked a question without involving jr. the new rivalry is cool, i wasnt getting bored with nascar at all but this still might provide a little more entertainment than before.

  17. Good question. You have a point. It was fun to watch.

  18. NASCAR doesn't need any further entertainment value. My cat is thrilled by it enough as is. I just turn it on in the background and he swats at the screen as all the cars drive around in ovals. Keeps him off my keyboard. Thank you NASCAR.
