Who can give me information and links for global warming. I need pictures, graphs, and statistics?

I am doing a project in biology. We need to solve this with photosynthesis. I do not know how.

  1. One interesting point to consider is data from the NASA mission on Mars that could be interpreted as Global Warming is caused by the sun. A scientist named Abdussamatov says solar irradiance is causing climate change both on Earth and Mars. Duke University detects warming of other planets, and the NASA Statement on the matter.

  2. This has great charts on global warming that will help, although it's not much about photosynthesis.

  3. Go to:

    http://petesplace-peter.blogspot.com/200...

He's got an incredible assortment of peer reviewed scientific articles that are a good source of information.

    Also,

For a scientific research project things like wikipedia and news articles are not considered to be valid sources.  Your teacher will disallow these sources if you use them.

  4. There are so many great sites, so much information the mind boggles.  But here are a few sites that you might find useful.

    Good luck.

  5. Go to the sites : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Warm...

                                 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosynthe...

I hope they help. Search Wikipedia for other topics. Best of Luck for your project!

  6. You will find many links and graphs pointing to human-caused global warming but very few leading to the truth of the matter.  That truth is that global climatic cycles are driven by the sun and all the greenhouse gasses are an indicator, NOT a cause.

Climate change is a money and power grab scheme by the bottom feeder politicians and power brokers. It's nothing to do with ecology and everything to do with money.

Con artists like Gore have enriched themselves on this issue, taking home Oscars, Nobel Prizes and millions of dollars. Meanwhile, evangelical leaders are setting up their flocks for extreme fleecing by leftist politicos like Barack Obama, who will appeal for Christian votes by talking in glowing, biblical-sounding terms about "being good stewards of God's creation."

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since

there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

    Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':

    Humans did not cause it.

    Humans cannot stop it.

Challenge is Clear for the New Congress

    Posted: 16-Jan-2007; Updated: 30-Aug-2007

As the 110th Congress begins to debate global warming policy, our list of ten startling global warming facts underscores what's at stake and why 2007 must be a year for effective national action.

Rank of 2006 as hottest year on record in the continental United States.

Rank of America as top global warming polluter in the world.

Percent increase of America's carbon dioxide emissions from the burning of fossil fuels since 1990.

Percent increase of America's carbon dioxide emissions forecasted by 2020 if we do not cap pollution.

Percent decrease in U.S. global warming pollution required by 2050 to prevent the worst consequences of global warming.

Number of days by which the US fire season has increased over the past 20 years - tied closely to increased temperatures and earlier snowmelt.

Number of people around the world who could be displaced by more intense droughts, sea level rise and flooding by 2080.

Number of U.S. mayors (representing 55 million Americans) who have signed the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement pledging to meet or beat Kyoto goals in their communities.

Number of federal bills passed to cap America's global warming pollution.

Number of times President Bush has mentioned "climate change" or "global warming" in his previous six State of the Union speeches.

    The following is about photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants, some bacteria, and some protistans use the energy from sunlight to produce sugar, which cellular respiration converts into ATP, the "fuel" used by all living things. The conversion of unusable sunlight energy into usable chemical energy, is associated with the actions of the green pigment chlorophyll. Most of the time, the photosynthetic process uses water and releases the oxygen that we absolutely must have to stay alive. Oh yes, we need the food as well!

We can write the overall reaction of this process as:

    6H2O + 6CO2 ----------> C6H12O6+ 6O2

Most of us don't speak chemicalese, so the above chemical equation translates as:

six molecules of water plus six molecules of carbon dioxide produce one molecule of sugar plus six molecules of oxygen

  8. Hi,

Search on the net for a place named "Gangotri Gomukh" this is in India. This is the the starting point of Ganga River you must have heard ganga river. The start point of Ganga river and the temple of Ganga were are the same point initially but now because of global warming the start point of ganga has shifted something like 15KM away from the temple.

Not sure if this helps, but you can find a lot of data about this on google.

    Enjoy,

    UG

  9. Plants have already taken care of it.... The big bad CO2 is not true go measure it. What percent of our atmosphere is CO2. It is so low that it takes a good detector and it measures in a few parts per million . Take 300 ppm and convert IT to percent of our atmosphere.
