  1. While friends are essential in dealing with feelings and supporting you on your way to recovery, you absolutely need to see a professional.  If you earnestly want to change your life, then you need to seek treatment for your addictions.  Addictions carry both a physical and a mental component and it is important to recognize and address both.  See your doctor, or a psychologist to begin your road to recovery.  Checking into a treatment center that you have researched and decided is the most appropriate place to recover is also a good option.  Good luck!  Keep me posted!

  2. ok, Joel, you might not get this, because I don't use MY SPACE.  But to find peace and happiness and faith in your life you are the one that has to make it happen.  You have to make up in your mind that you really want to do this.  Once you do that, that's the first step.  The second step is get on your knees and ask GOD to help you get through the very difficult times and be sincere about it.  He will answer your prayers.  Once you do those two things, go to an AAA meeting or a Drug Rehab Clinic and get cleaned out.  Drugs and Alcohol is not good for any body.  After you are cleaned and continue to pray, find you a church that is willing to work with you.  The most important thing is that you have to want to be free and then have faith that you will get your life turned around.  God be with you and good luck.
