  1. Im the same age and last year  I felt the same way,so  this year i made a goal to be better, I ran alot during the summer and just keep pushing myself. Practice just started and can see the imrovments(although im still nervous about races) but even if you havent ran alot lately just start pushing yourself to do better also even though it may be hard stay postive because if you running is mental to and if you are feeling bad it will slow you down. Also something  Im going to try is lifting some weights because arm strengh also helps your running to. So just keep trying!

        good luck

  2. haha cheer up

im the slowest kid on my cross country team :)

    lets see..

always try your best in practice.

remember to hydrate.. drink a lot of water

get carbs in before meets (pasta, pizza, breads)

if your shoes have over like 750 miles on them(or are more than 1 yr old).. get new shoes that you feel are comfortable

also.. if you have a friend on the team, try running with them, or try to keep up with the person in front of you.

Stretch and warm up before practice

Stretch and cool down after practice...

maybe lift some weights after practice..

swtich off between upperbody and lower body.

good luck, and have fun :)
