I have a 2001 Mustang that I am trying to sell because it is not safe to drive in bad weather, and sadly there is alot of that where I live. In place of that I want to purchase a Nissan Pathfinder who knows anything about them or has a opinion I would appreciate it!! Also words of encouragement to get rid of my Mustang would be nice, because I love that car:) Thanks

  1. Your Mustang can be made to operate better in the snow by adding weight in the rear of the trunk and installing studded snow tires in the rear. If you buy several sand bags (100 lbs total) and put them in the trunk, they won't roll around on corners or fast stops, plus you can use the sand under your tires in an emergency. Concerning the Pathfinder; while I like most Japanese cars, the pathfinder is not the best SUV. Honda Passport (same as Isuzu Rodeo) is better as is the Toyota 4 runner.

  2. Methinks someone should study up on winter driving. It's not the car...

  3. Do you live in a winter state?  If so, you can try a season keeping the one you love, get great snow tires for the winter, and drive like an old lady in the righthand lane when it snows.  Sorry, that's not encouragement to sell the mustang, but I love cars, and a mustang is so much more fun than a pathfinder!

Anyway, no matter what you get, make sure you always have good tires for the weather you'll be driving in.

  4. Mustangs are okay. The inside is kind of plain to me. I just had a 2008 Pathfinder and it clunked right about 40mph. Every time I took it in Nissan said it was normal! I know two other people with pathfinders and neither one of theirs clunks at 40mph. I traded it in on a Sequoia and have been very happy with it.

  5. v6 mustang??

  6. i will assume that you are an adult since you bought the car so make an intelligent decesion and live with it.

it not like you married the car, for better or worse, till death due us part,

it more like a boyfriend, you can drop it anytime you feel like it.

pathfinders not great on gas but fun to drive, sorta like dating a stripper.
