  1. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

  2. Contact your credit card company and explain yourself to them. See what they can do to help you arrange a payment plan for your debt.

Negotiate yourself and save the money you'd waste on counseling.

In fact, the money you'd waste on counseling could be used to pay towards your credit card debt.

  3. debt settlement companies will settle your debt up to 70% check out www.creditservicesolutions.com they will give you a free analysis on your credit card debt to see what is best for you.

  4. novacool77,

There's a good article at eHow on steps to take to begin tackling your debt.  Take a look at it:

    http://www.ehow.com/how_2326032_avoid-es...

    How to Stop Escalating Debt

It includes information on companies (both non-profit and for-profit) that can help you with debt consolidation and reduction.

You can also look here for tips on earning some extra cash online:

Lastly, here's an interesting alternative to conventional lending...getting a "social networking" loan from Virgin Money (from the same folks who run Virgin Airlines):

    Hope these help.

  5. Trust yourself.  Stop using the cards if you can't pay them.

  6. Good answers about relying on yourself to pay them off and also consider working with your credit card company--they may work out a payment plan that cuts the interest etc. while you get back on top.

However, I'd definitely pay off the card or account with the HIGHEST interest rate first (always making minimum payments on the rest) until it is done, then put all that money into the next highest.  Paying the smallest amount first gives you a "feel-good" when you have it paid, but doesn't pay things off as fast.

In the mean time, don't wait to fix the core problem--carrying a balance on any credit card is throwing away money you haven't even earned yet.  Change your income level and/or expenses now so that you don't have to use them, ever.

    Best of success!

  7. The companies registered with BBB are trusted organization. One of which I know is http://ezconsolidation.com

Most likely there are two ways to consolidate your credit card debts. One of the way is Credit Card Consolidation Loan, which is a type of unsecured personal loan. Credit Card Debt Consolidation Loan shortly means one loan for all your credit card debts. When you have several credit card debts, you can consolidate it into one lower, fixed rate loan. You make a single lump sum payment each month to your credit counselor and he in turn will pay off to your current creditors.

Another way is credit card debt settlement plan wherein a debt settlement company would negotiate a lower lump sum payment to pay to your Credit Card Companies i.e. your creditors off and as a result you end up paying fifty percent or even sometimes lower, of your outstanding balance to them.

You can take up any of the program you think would be best for you.

  8. Yourself. They won't do anything you can't do on your own. Start with the smallest dept, and pay off monthy with largest payment you can afford. While at the same time, pay minimum monthly payment on the others. When the smallest is paid, do the same with the next smallest, and so forth. Each bill you pay off, will give you more to pay on the next.
