Who can help me with the name of this childhood movie from the late 80's??

This movie was about a few kids who found a treasure map and they went to find the treasure. I remember it was based in an old shipping dock near a light house and the treasure was golden bells..... Its basically all i can remember and i would love to watch it again!

Are you thinking of the Goonies? But the treasure wasn;t golden bells in that one, so I could be wrong

Mystery in Dracula's Castle (1973 TV movie)

I can't find out much about this Disney film, so I'm probably way off base with this suggestion. I'll look around some more.

the only movie i can think of is called The Goonies...one of my favorite movies from the 80's...here's the synopsis...maybe it will ring some bells (not gold ones though, because that wasn't in the movie.....but there was a lot of gold!)

A group of misfit, small-town children (including Sean Astin, Kerri Green and Josh Brolin) discovers a pirate-treasure map and embarks on a quest to find the riches. Along the way, they battle curmudgeonly crooks and squabble with one another. Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus coscripted this modern riff on Peter Pan but left the helming to Richard Donner.
