My dad found an old Newcastle Racecourse race day card from 1874 when clearing out the house. Its very dirty hense its age but readable. It details all the races and times on that day. I would like some advise on who i could talk to about it, should i take it to the Racecourse direct or does anyone know who might be interested in this? or should i keep a hold of it for a few more years? I have tried looking up local antique dealers online but u have to pay for some to get advise?

  1. well its got to be worth something i certainly wouldnt take it to the racecourse and dont bother with any online valuers.

where i live in chester sotherbys hold free valuations every month and also advise on the fone so you best try speaking to them also the local radio were iam has a valuer on every week its definatley got some value goodluck .

  2. Wow that's awesome! No I wouldn't take it to the racetrack or deal with it online. Keep it in a safe place and find a rebutable antique dealer or pricer and bring it to get it evaluated. If I were you I'd keep it, because even though it's neat you can't get too much money from it.
