  1. Where are you located? The power company should have the pole requirements printed out. Have an electrical build 1 for you or call someone like Lowe's. They have names of contractors which are licensed and able to do this for you.

If the pole only needs to be reset, anyone with post hole diggers could dig the hole back out, stand the pole and pack dirt back in around it. It should be set 48 inches in the ground.

Someone should also check for any broken wires or conduit.

  2. call any large electrical contractor in your area. Most of them have there own line division or they will subcontract it out. It will cost about $3000 to $5000. depending on how much is on the pole.

  3. Call them again ........your paying the utility bill , its their responsibility to get it to the pole and also the pole........you do not own the pole,,,,,,,,,,,it should have a date and number on the pole as to when it was installed.......usually a piece of metal about eye height on the pole..........good luck

  4. if u are paying bill regularly then it is responsibility of the electric company to restore your electric supply any how through that pole or other. you can complain about it to higher authority or ask information by RTI act.

  5. I haven't a clue as to where you live but THAT'S CRAZY!! that the power company isn't in charge of it. They got their high powered lines connected to it. If they still won't replace it Than call your insurance company and explain to them the deal, that's it a hazard/fire/electrocution waiting to happen. I bet they'll get it straight.

That's neglect on the power companies end

d**n if the power lines are coming from the power company(which they most certainly are) then they are responsible to have a secure/safe way for the lines to run from the main pole to your home.

    Call and *****!!

  6. Where I live, the Co-Op will install them but it's not cheap. Call your insurance company and see if they can help you with this problem. It seems odd that it would fall on you. How about your neighbors home owners insurance? I don't think it's your problem other than you are without power. This is quite odd. Keep calling and asking who is responsible.... I can't see at all where YOU are responsible from what you say.
