I'm planning a small city break in Edinburgh, but can't decide for a hotel. Has anyone got any ideas? Would be great if it was in or close to the city center and not too expensive.. but also nice enough to stay in one night..

  1. From £30 per night

The Kinnaird Guesthouse is situated close to the A8, serving Edinburgh from the west including Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport.

    .Facilities include

Centrally heated rooms, colour television, en-suite facilities (selected rooms) and tea and coffee making facilities. All the rooms have been decorated to provide a warm, cosy environment for you to relax in.

  2. City Center? Affordable?

No, stick with a B&B (Bed and Breakfast). You won't want to "stay in one night" in Edinburgh.

  3. I live in Edinburgh and there is a real nice hostel that looks like a hotel as it is all new inside. It is big, should be affordable and is the most decent one i can think of....the draback is: It is about 15 minutes away from the city centre if you walk....and there are loads of busses right in front of it. but hey, it is really not too far.

    Have a look: http://www.hihostels.com/dba/hostels-Edi...

And you can google it if you want to see how far it is: It on the top of Leith Walk.

This one is a lot more central but I have no idea if it is good at all. But it is right in the city centre / old town:

    Enjoy Edinburgh!

  4. Try the Apex group, they have three hotels in Edinburgh, two in the Grassmarket area and one at Haymarket all near to the city centre. They are reasonably priced and have good reviews.
