  2. No relatives.  The guidance notes say who - usually a professional person is your best choice - Doctor Lawyer etc.

  8. No relative however distantly related, and whoever you do get to sign it must hold a current passport, my brother is a Justice of the Peace and he is unable to sign because he does not have a passport himself. I got mine signed by my boss.

  12. No, your great niece cannot validly sign your passport. I used to sign passports as a Civil Servant. Do you know any Civil Servants? Or teachers, bank managers, nurses?

    Warning, don't ask your Doctor. They charge. Mine charges £20.

  13. The passport office has a list of people who can countersign passports. The list is available online and is also enclosed with your passport application.
