Mass emails is discouraged by all ISP's  and will likely be handled as that dirty word SPAM, which can get you penalized.

On other hand If you have a lot of persons you know,merely add  each to your address book, Then, create a "group", designate each of them as members of that group. (like family,friends,etc) Then, it's a matter of placing "x" in boxes positioned left of the name(s)to whom you wish to receive your emails.
