...the environment? I believe all the stuff the scientists etc are feeding us, but being the selfish c**t I am, it's not my problem, its the futures problem. Who agrees/wants to shout at me now?

  1. Thats fair i guess

  2. I think you have no children?  Being a mum it does bother me that my kids will suffer.

  3. If we do not make it our problem now, we will NOT have a future for our grand children,It is to big a problem for the individual to tackle on their own and government and big business will NOT tackle it as they are only want the profit now.so god help the future.

  4. You're not alone; legislators, politicians and big business are all on the same page with you. Oh, yes, they'll talk about it, and get their photos taken doing something symbolic, but nothing will happen until it's too late. Any legislation will either be ignored (see the Kyoto Agreement etc.) or set to start 25 plus years from now, so it won't affect the fat cats currently in office or in charge of the companies involved. All they want is to make their money and let the planet go hang. When they have made it, exhausted all the resources, and ended up diseased from pollution and burned by the unprotected sun, they'll be unceremoniously shuffled into old folks homes so no one has to listen to them moan.

The future is not that far away. Enjoy your selfish lifestyle while you can. Cheers mate, you've got a lot of company.

  5. If we all thought like that the world would be a sad place.  Thank god we're not all the same as you, and care about the environment.  Not doing your bit is just laziness, if we all did just one green thing a day, it would help our children's future.

  6. Jimmo,

I definitely get that. I do my bit like recycling, using low energy bulbs and the like, but frankly I don't think it really matters.

For every person that cares there are a thousand who don't.  Evolution dictates that the strongest survive and if humans happen to kill themselves through pollution and climate change does it really matter that much?

I feel for people who have children and want to provide them with a secure future, but that's their shout.

Besides, to all intents and purposes we're already 50 years too late - pretty much like a speeding train slamming on brakes when it sees the car on the line - the train smash is still going to happen!

  7. Huh,

So I gues you don't drink water, breath air or eat food.

    good for you.

    and good luck with that.

  8. It IS effecting us now! You haven't noticed the changes to the weather?  The crazy storms that have been popping up all over the world? The upsurge of health problems such as cancer, resperitory illnesses, etc? The weird mutations in nature?
