  1. I care about the environment, but not necessarily global warming.  Al Gore is wrong, and there is more money to be made in GLOBAL WARMING then if it is not there.   People love to talk about the oil companies are funding the research that discredits global warming, however most of the scientist that are talking about global are funded by sources that have financial gain in getting away from the oil driven economy.

However, we should try and clean the environment.  Any time we can reduce the pollution put into the air or the sea we should try.

  2. i dont drive, i walk everywhere... to store, school, friends. prob thats why im so smexy.

  3. My views on this subject is that Global Warming is a natural occurrence, The planet did not drastically heat up during the turn of the 20th century when coal was the primary energy source, now 100 years later we have much cleaner energy but there is a global warming scare It just doesn't make sense.

About the high emission cars, Most of the worlds population cannot afford a new car every year or two. People worry about other necessities first (such as food, rent, and clothing) as long as it gets to point A to point B they are happy.  Most live too far to walk or ride a bike to their job and carpooling is too much dependent on the passengers and the driver (if one person runs late on a carpool then everyone is late for work.)

  4. I don't, either.

s***w the liberals - they are the worst factor affecting the environment. The environmental people are a bunch of self-rigthteous nincompoops for the most part.

Al Gore is a fat porker and HE is the chief hypocrite you mention.

I'm more worried about terrorism and real problems.

  5. We should all care about the environment.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warm...

Some say it isn't true, but it is true.

The delay in reaching equilibrium is a result of the large heat capacity of the oceans.[1]

Increasing global temperature is expected to cause sea level to rise, an increase in the intensity of extreme weather events, and significant changes to the amount and pattern of precipitation. Other expected effects of global warming include changes in agricultural yields, modifications of trade routes, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.

When the sea level rises we have problems.  There will be flooding and on one picture that I saw, Manhattan NY will be no more and there will be other places like this too.

When glaciers melt that water has to go somewhere and where it goes is into the various oceans and it causes sea levels to rise.

Everyone needs to watch the movie by Al Gore called

    An Inconvenient Truth.

    Here is the site:

    http://www.climatecrisis.net/

We all had better be concerned about our environment.

  6. i do!

i think the environment is extremely important.

    there is only ONE planet

  7. I do. but environmentalist groups just want money and power over people. Who is we?

  8. I care about the environment? why?

because WE are the environment. Think about it.

  9. Well, I believe that we should respect the people that lived before we did.  Because, they were very respectful to earth (unlike now).  So, I think we should respect their cultures and our planet.  That way, our kids can have a healthy place to live.

  10. v ol may b caring but donnot show dat v care though we eternaly do.........sumtyms r self reppo /image concerns us n d other tyms sumthin other ...........i do care my  earth

  11. i do very much for my first car i am going to get a hybrid

and no we are not hypocrites we just don't know how bad high emission cars are

  12. I do care about our environment. No we are NOT hypocrites if we use high emission cars. Do you even know what a hypocrit is?

    hyp·o·crite [híppəkrit]

    (plural hyp·o·crites)

    n

somebody feigning high principles: somebody who gives a false appearance of having admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings

nothing but a bunch of hypocrites

somebody feigning high principles: somebody who gives a false appearance of having admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings

    that's the deffinitions.

so those who don't use high emission cars and are saying that those who do are mean, unevironmentalist and stuff then they're the hipocrits. congratulations! *ding ding ding* you learned something today! What will be your prize?

    1) Keep the information you learned and use it in the future

    2) IN you brain and in the trash can in your brain.

    3) Rea the information but you don't think its acurate so you huff and puff.

those choices are for everyone! So, when someone answers the question please choose your answer. And if you don't think the ifo is acurate look it up in the dictionary!

  13. Just yesterday, James Hansen, director of the Goddard Institute of Space Science, testified, "We're toast if we don't get on a very different path" at a Congressional hearing. He also said, "This is the last chance".

A preponderance of the world's scientific community is now convinced that global warming is the biggest threat to our very survival. If we don't change our environment, in less than 10 YEARS it will be too late.

Ever since man's 'industrial revolution' 150 years ago, we have escalated the effects of global warming (a cyclical occurrence that takes places over tens of thousands of years). Now many plant and animal species cannot adapt quickly enough to the coming climatic changes.

Man-made vehicle emissions, air pollution, oil spills, poisoned waterways, over-fished oceans, decimation of mangrove forests, destruction of the rain forests, coal mining, oil exploration, chemically-treated agricultural 'sciences', and disregard for all other species on Earth have all contributed to the mess we're in right now.

Arrogance, ignorance, avarice, sloth, neglect and hubris have all set in to blind us from the reality of what we have caused - all for the sake of our own squalor, profit, comfort or convenience. To be sure, we are all self-destructive.

Governments, as always, have failed to be PROactive to these issues as they should have been thirty or forty years ago. Now they'll try to play "catch up" be throwing money at this issue in an attempt to be REactive and avoid a massive global crisis.

Most scientists believe that we have less than ten years to turn things around. Many scientists already believe it's too late. How will we respond to our grandchildren or great-grandchildren when they ask what WE did to resolve the environmental issues and help preserve our planet? -RKO- 06/24/08

  14. i do !

friend, many of us don't pay ample attention to environment by at the end of the day it is our loss.i think its high time and we really need to do something about changing our life style to improve the condition of earth.

  15. I care about the environment, but I don't believe we have an effect on the climate of our planet. And if you care about the enviroment and drive a large vehicle than yes, you are a hypocrite. (Example Al Gore - It's not just the vehicle he drives, but the houses he owns too.)

  16. In my opinion, I dont think the government of any country really cares about the environment. They are seen to be doing the right thing on one hand but take away much of the good done with policies on the economy which are at odds with their environmental policy. The fact that nations are slipping back environmentally speaks some for itself.

Also from my experience people I have worked with in the environmental scene usually drive the worst cars of the lot - not setting a good example so yes we probably are hypocrites afer all.

  17. I care so much for my environment that I have devoted my entire company, Future Futurity, Inc., to do as much as one person can.  The only thing I ever buy that is plastic is my coffee can.  All water that I drink is tap only and is only stored in one container.  I have planted trees on my property.  And where I run AC, the temperature is at 72 degrees and I am cooled by two giant fans blowing cross air in the living room and one in the computer room.

But I also have 36 years of scientific study with 17 of those being devoted to the field of physical science including climatology.  I am deeply involved in proposals to make us - the entire world starting with the United States - completely energy independent by 2018.  My company is at the forefront of research and proposals to find solutions rather than focusing on problems.  I care deeply about our environment beyond words and so I put them into action in my own life and hopefully in the lives of others.

  18. our world is the one thing we all have in common, when i say we i mean every human on this planet. everyone.. every single person is involved in global warming and everything that causes it. if we ignore it.. you people who live in this protected bubble where you think nothing will happen to you, will be very surprised to find that our earth will soon become inhabitable. im not saying tommorow or the next day.. but its in our future, whether its in your lifetime or the next, i think its very selfish of anyone to say that they dont care. you should get yourself checked before saying something like that. our environment is the reason why we are all alive. get it together

  19. Let us for a minute assume that global warming is a farce created by the liberals to make money.

Can you discredit the fact that pollution causes air quality issues, and that air quality issues lead to cancer, disease, and subsequently to a stressing of our health care systems?  Can you discredit the fact that we're reliant on fuels that pollute our lungs, and bodies, and give a disproportionate amount of US money to foreign governments?

You might not believe in global warming, and if you don't that's fine.  The problems at the root of global warming are STILL problems facing our nation and the world.  They need to be fixed whether or not you believe in Global warming or not.

And if you're still not convinced, I implore you to move your family next to a chemical plant for a few years.  Let me know if you still feel the same way.

  20. OMG, how could one not care? It's our home.

I use as little electricity as possible, live in a small home, plant trees, recycle anything I can't make something out of, conserve water, grow whatever veggies I can, keep the heat at 68 in winter, keep the ac off, never litter, and purchase at second hand stores.

Hummers are ridiculous, I see one & shake my head.

  21. Not enough people that's for sure.  I do.  I love this place, earth.

  23. I care about the environment. A lot of people think that global warming is not real but it is a very real thing. In 20 years we might have to stop using cars completley. lol I am serious. The greenhouse gasses are destroying the earth!!! We need to all drive hybrids.

  24. Apparently u dont!!!

    I do

And i dont drive yet So hahahahahahahahaah

    im not a hypocrite hahahahahaha!!!!!!!

    You R a hypocrite@!@@@@@@!!!!!

  25. I care a lot about the environment. why, well because we keep polluting and everyday our earth has one day less to live. We need to help and start caring! If we don't, we won't know the shape that our earth will be in in many years.

  26. Virtually everyone in every developed country-- I would look toward 3rd world and communist and dictator controlled countries for the real polluters!

  27. YES IF I HAD A SCALE ON 1 TO 10 IT WOULD BE 200.Also I don't drive yet either so HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yes If you drive your a hypocrite so HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. me ?sometimes yes sometimes no. depends solely on the condition.

  29. i care i drive a 4 cylinder car these days instead of my usual V8 and i have energy saving lights in every room of my home. to top that i have recently planted trees around the perimeter of my garden and i have got other people involved in planting trees to give away so it keeps on growing and growing as they get their friends involved and so on

  30. well we indeed r hipocrites...on one hand we talk abt the conservation of environment and on the other hand we r doing all sorts of things 2 destroy it.

for example ac's n refrigerators are being used by everyone.....without even realising that they release CFC"S which damage the ozone layer.

we talk abt carbon reduction but on the other hand we use fossil fuels..which leads 2 carbon emissions.

but i would say....i have started noticing a change in ppl's perception....they have realised the importance of a healthy environment and r working towards it......

countries in the world r definetely searching more efficent sources of energy ( eg. ethanol)

and ya as 4 al gore i m glad he know'a that US is one of the major contributors to environmental pollution particularly global warming..............

i m sure his efforts will bear fruit

  31. You know you're doing something right when you've reduced hordes of liberals to blind, sputtering rage.
