Hah. It seems like I have to work hard here as one of the few proud Chinese who go around defending their country.

  1. There's nothing wrong with supporting China if your Chinese.  However I'm rooting for the USA.

  2. Don't worry about the American media.  They're always biased, and the fans just buy the brainwashing.  You can tell from the lack of positive news articles about China in Yahoo's Olympic page, and how half of the "questions" here are rants about how China should be stripped of medals.

    中国队,加油!

  3. I cheered for both and was glad both got the top two spot

  4. There are plenty of Chinese people rooting for their country there is nothing wrong with that. =) I cheered for the Chinese female gymnast on the uneven bars her releases were incredible.

  5. China is all show... comon' fake fireworks... fake singers... athletes that are too young....

  6. i love the answer from "the box"

your so right if you dont like the best country in the work then leave

  7. congrats to china. be proud

  8. I cheer for the USA, South Korea, the Republic of China aka Taiwan.

  9. The women's Chinese synchronized diving team is amazing. My family watched with amazement.

  10. lol i'm Chinese and Canadian but i'm rooting for Canada first.

    Still I defend China.

  11. I cheered for both the United States and China. I cheered for the U.S. first and then China.

But what bothers me is how people are tying what the government/agencies are doing with the athletes. I'm sure all the Chinese athletes work as hard as the other athletes. Give them a break...stop generalizing!

  12. Sorry I cheer for Australia?

  13. Sadly, you won't receive any warm welcome around here. Being an American myself, all I heard is complaints about other countries and how America should be winning by a huge margin in every event. Nevertheless, the Chinese outnumbers Americans, so you don't need any help from us in the cheering department.

  14. i didn't cheer for them on account on of them took the gold for the weight lifting from a colombian but i do respect them there are some of the best athletes ive seen

  15. I didn't cheer for team China, but I saw what happened and acknowledge they were the better team this year.  Congrats to China! = )   USA welcomes all challengers, and we judge fairly.

  16. No, I respect them, but their scores are bias and they're cheating. I bet top buck those girls are not 16 in gymnastics.

  17. Woah! The American scores are completely rigged! Are you kidding me? The americans made mistake after mistake (especially on the beams!) and they were NOT penalized half as hard as the chinesse!

The general American public can't even acknowledge that China is GOING to win bc anitcommunist propaganda is beat into our head from a young age!

  18. I cheered. I'm technically Taiwanese, and should thus hate China, but I cheered. They were the best (in gymnastics and diving, obvs).

I don't get this c**p about moving to China just b/c he/she supports their team. Aren't we all mature enough to be open minded and accepting of others? Those comments are unnecessarily ignorant.

Back on track: I actually rooted for the Chinese men's gymnastics team the entire time, because they are that great.

  19. In the gymnastics, I heard the guy say they were suppose to be 16. And they DEFINITELY do not look 16.

    Can you say, "cheating"?

  20. Kudos to China! I'm waiting for their gold metal to be stripped from them in a few years! Next time bring actual 16 year olds lol.

  21. I cheered for both teams in gymnastics, but I'm really glad China won.  They've long been the most artistic and beautiful gymnasts to watch, but unfortunate mistakes have kept them from doing what they're capable of.  I'm glad they were finally able to pull it all together and do it in front of their home crowd!

  22. Well you are in the American Yahoo answers. Move to China if you don't like the U.S.
