  1. Whoever discovers them?

    That's a good question though!

  2. My science teacher told me that like the weather scientists from all arround the world send a long list of names and they put it in abc order or in some kind of order and after a hurricane they name it in abc order then when it runs out of name they do it over again but it cant be the same name

  3. idk..but interesting question=)

  4. It's alphabetical, and the gender changes each time. I'd imagine that the national weather service picks the specific name each time, but I can't say for sure.

    Great question! :)

  5. the people that control the richter scale ...? idk. LOL

  6. Naming of hurricanes comes from the history of Army & Navy meteorologists naming storms after their wives/girlfriends. It became standard to use female names for hurricanes, until political correctness made it so they used both male and female names. I believe they go down a list of names, and it goes male/female/male and so forth.

Names are chosen by organizations and approved by a committee. If a storm is powerful enough and wreak enough havoc, such as Katrina, that name is retired from the list. Names are recycled every 6 years.

  7. idk but whoever does has no life, is old, and has no life ...lol

  8. The national weather service does

  9. the teletubies
