Who cooked the WORST meal you ever ate?

A friend of mine.  She place hot dogs straight from the package and dumped a can of sweet potatoes on top and baked for about 45 minutes.  I like hot dogs and I like sweet potatoes but this was NASTY! The grease floating on top from the hot dogs and the canned sweet potatoes were not like fresh.  I was pregnant and I was trying to eat it but I started gagging and had to be excused.  At least I had morning sickness to blame it on! My poor husband had to eat his! She invited us over for this, her house looked beautiful, she was a gracious hostess but man I couldn't eat her food! So I invited them over everytime it came up.  Claiming I just enjoyed cooking so much.

ME,  I have this great pork dish which is cooked with a galianno liqueur and orange sauce with onions etc.    I cooked it one time and had left overs so decided to freeze it.     Next time I cooked it was for two of my bosses and some out of state co workers, and had a dinner party.

I cooked a fresh batch and made the mistake of believing the frozen portion would be just as great.  ---------not taking into consideration the amount of booze in the frozen dish which doesn't freeze

consequently when the two batches were joined there was a terrible taste from the old pork which did not freeze and was definitely off.

believe me this was a disaster beyond belief, and we ended up sending out for Pizza    luckily they were good sports and enjoyed the pizza and salad and of course lots of booze

always me. i always mess up a recipe the firs time i make it.. then i try it again with my own additions and cooking time and .... viola!! it turns out great..

My husband fried some steak one time and seasoned it with Lemon Pepper before he cooked it. I got sick from the smell of it cooking. So I ordered pizza. It was no way I was eating that. Worst meal I ever ate was one of my neighbors. Can't exactly remember what it was. I guess that's a good thing.

My Husband lol! I pretended to like it and quickly said that I was full :( he burnt hamburger helper. I made a mental note to never let him cook again unless it was hotdogs. That's the only thing he cooks right.

Me.....Long time ago when I was first left home & was learning to cook. Lived in a house for a while that had a really, really old gas stove, complete with faulty oven k***s ~ cooked roast chook ~ Turned out crisp & very black on the outside, very, very tough & dry on the inside...The person I cooked it for (boyfriend of the moment) still ate it to my surprise, well actually...I got a little heated when he refused at first to eat ~ saying I hadn't spent the last 3 hours or so slaving over the stove for nothing ~ he felt really bad about this, so we smothered it in tomato sauce (I hadn't made the gravy) & chowed out....We did laugh about it later..That was the first home cooked meal I attempted...To that boyfriend's chagrin, I used to use him as a 'taste tester' for many new weird & wonderful recipes, some that turned out, some that flopped along the way.

my sister lisa once cooked me some beef and onion tacos and she burnt them to a crisp but i had to eat them anyway to avoid hurting her feelings they tasted horrible

The worst meal I ever ate was made by a cook at Friendlies restaurant a bunch of years ago. I ordered a turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes meal and it was just terrible. The stuffing looked and tasted nasty. The turkey was actually a bunch of slices of lunch meat. That meal was something I wouldn't even feed a dog. I took a few bites and couldn't eat another bit. I don't think that meal is on their menu any more, or maybe they only offer it around Thanksgiving time.

This lady that went to my church. We had a small church growing up and we used to do a lot of like potlucks. And she would always make this horribly gross macaroni salad and would get mad when no one would eat it.

My oh's mum,she cooked the most disgusting mince and mash i ever tasted whilst i was pregnant,after having the lil man she cooked it again and i was heaving.had to sneak it onto my old mans plate lmao

She  was  a  friend  of  mine  and  she  invited  me  to  come  over  for  the  week end.  She  was  hosting  a  get together  for  another  out  of  town  friend.  It  was  a  two  hour  drive  for  me.  When  I  arrived  I  was  cramped  and  thirsty  and  eager  to  eat.  She  met  me  at  the  door  and  we  went  directly  into  the  kitchen.  She  had  food  all  over  the  kitchen,  and  then  she  told  me  how  busy  she  had  been,  preparing  the  food  yesterday.  Said  she  was  so  tired  when  she  finished  that  she  just  left  it  all  in  the  cooking  vessels  right  there  on  the  stove.  Nothing  had  been  put  away  in  the  refrigerator.  Gasp!!  What??!  Did  she  expect  me  to  eat  food  that  had  been  left  out  for  the  past  24  hours?  She  belched  real  loud  and  said,  "I  don't  know  what's  wrong  with  me,  seems  I  have  an  upset  stomach."  Another  loud  belch.  "I  have  to  run  to  the  bathroom,  I  also  have  diarrhea... "  I  thought  to  myself,  yes,  I  can  understand  why.  Actually,  I  didn't  eat  any  of  the  food,  I  went  back  to  my  car,  drove  down  to  the  mall  and  bought  some  snacks  and  stashed  them  away  in  the  guest  room  she  put  me  in.  I  didn't  eat  any  of  her  food  the  whole  week end;  I  played  with  the  food  on  my   plate,  pretending  to  be  eating,  but  not  really.  I  did  eat  some  fresh  fruit  out  on  the  counter.
