  1. If you know someone that sews, you could take them the photo, and have them make it using a pattern for a similar design.

Otherwise, if you have a sewing machine, or know someone that has a portable one, you could attempt it yourself (seriously!!).

There is a line of sewing patterns called "Simplicity".  You can purchase them at Walmart and fabric shops.  They are incredibly easy to follow, and have step by step directions for you to do it yourself.  Most of their designs take less than an afternoon to complete for a beginner.  You can get tips and tricks online, or take an introductory course at a community college or craft shop, i.e. Michaels.

My mom taught me to sew at a very young age (and I am incredibly grateful for it!!) and started me with these patterns.  I think I was making PJ tops and bottoms around the age of 12.

If you put your mind to it, you may just surprise yourself!!

  2. You can go to your local taylor place and ask them to make it for you

  3. If you have a sewing machine, this dress is a very easy dress to make. I suggest you start off with a commercial pattern similar to it (vogue, simplicity, etc. ). Buy 2 yards of 60" wide unbleached muslin and cut the pattern from the muslin...sew together with long basting stich on machine, fit to you (anyone can fit a dress, very easy.) Mark fitted seams, trim to 5/8"  from markings and take muslin dress apart...now you have a cutting pattern for the expensive fabric. Cut both the outer fabric and cut a liner of some kind of poly satin to the waist from this "cutting pattern." Assemble the liner, install boning over seams EXCEPT over bust. Assemble outer fabric, attach liner at neck line, install zipper down center back (practice on the musline until you can install a zipper correctly), then the dress is finished except for the hem. Stretch the fabric with clip on clothes pins for 24 hours (clip onto hem and allow to hang) , remove clothes pins, let the fabric relax for aoubt 2-3 hours, then cut hem to lenght desired, but allow 1" longer than final hem. Run hem through sewing machine at edge of hem using zig zag to prevent hem from raveling, turn under 1", press and hand sew hem in place....easy..should take no more than 4 hours total.

  4. um i don't now but I'm sure ur going to find out

  5. Unless you have a friend who can make dresses and would give you a discount, having a dress made is probably a similar price to the one in the shops anyway.

  6. You should take it to someone you know that can make things really good and have them do it.

  7. It's going to cost you more that 90 pounds to have it custom made.

  8. I think you're looking for more of the "bubble" style dress. This one is probably more similar to it.

I'm somewhat of a beginner sewer myself, I sometimes still have problems with patterns and understanding what some of the terms and wording mean... so it depends on how much experience you have. I find the fitted part and bust area are the hardest to adjust.

Here's a really simple dress re-make or re-design that I thought would be so easy to make. you just need a form fitting but comfortable strapless dress with a zipper in the back to start with and maybe a friend to help.

Just replace the chiffon with your fabric and when it's complete, use a belt to make the top look a little more fitted. If you have a fabric that has body to it - a little stiffer - it will give you that full effect, but you have to either fluff it up, or maybe put some tulle in the skirt are.

Looks very cute, I hope it turns out well. Good luck.
