Who could the Red Sox trade Manny for who would help them between the baselines?

I'm a big fan of Jason Bay...but he's no Manny.

  2. I love Manny to death....but seriously if he is not going to play and ditch us at the end of the season.....we might as well trade him as sad as that sounds.....Bay could be a monster behind Ortiz and in front of Lowell

  3. A benefit of Bay is he has another year under his contract at 8 million.  We can talk the money we are wiping off the board in Manny and Schilling's contract and go after CC and/or Sheets.   Manny has not done much lately, I feel he is a little overrated right now actually.

The only guy I can think of that would really help out the Sox and help to get past this situation would have been Matt Holliday.  I don't see this happening at all and I think at the end of today, Manny is still in a Red Sox uniform.  Marlins aren't going to go for a guy who makes almost as much ($20m) as their entire team ($22m).  There won't be enough draw in Florida, even with Manny, to warrant that paycheck.
