If god created everything, does that mean he created the devil?

And if he did create the devil, then surely he mustve known he was going to become evil, as christians say god is all-knowing?

So surley, god made there be evil on this world?

What is the story of satan?

  1. we(muslims) believe that god created angels and asked them to bow infront of adam most did sum did not-satans as we call them.

satan challenged god and told HIM that he would lure HIS precious humans to a wrong path and then the battle between good and evil began

satan knows that he will burn in the deepest core of h**l he just doesnt want to be there alone!!

  2. In the books of Ezekiel and Isaiah we see that God created Lucifer perfect and beautiful, but Lucifer became proud and arrogant, and thought he, a mere finite and temporal being, could do a better job of running the universe than God, an infinite and eternal Being.  He rebelled against God, and managed to convince 1/3 of the angels to join him in his rebellion.  Jesus said "I saw satan fall like lightning from heaven."

Rebellion, pride and arrogance causes us to fall away from God just like it did to lucifer when he became satan.

  3. you want to hear the truth from the horse`s month, the devil is the god of this world ,the living god, hello all, behold it is I,the only living soul that loves and forgives all of you and wishes the best to all,for all of you are my children, little ones, baby spirits yet to be born onto everlasting life.Love is loving all, forgiving all.The greatest test of all and many failed, for who among you have the heart to forgive the devil after all. And god spoke through the angel of god.I am,who,I am,the angel of god.

  4. god did.

    Duh!

  5. According to Genesis 3 and 1John 1:5 God did not make Satan, he simply is as is God.  God can not do evil, so therefore can not create it.  But it is obvious that God is greater than Satan because God controls the amount of evil Satan can commit.  God also limits Himself in the world.

  6. Satan does not exist.  Satan is the personification of the evil things that humans do to each other.  It's used to shift the blame.  Evil is created by humans alone through their abuse of the creator's gift of free will.

  7. Apparently he's behind the whole thing:

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.  Isaiah 45:7

Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Amos 3:6

Behold, this evil is of the Lord. 2 Kings 6:33

  8. God created the devil, the flat square earth, and even the sun and stars that orbit it.  He created the dinosaurs, and then decided maybe that wasn't such a great idea after all.  He created ape-man bones to confound the scientists, and even created science to confound the intelligent.   Its all in the bible.

But apparently he made Satan too perfect, and Satan caught on to his evil plans.  If Satan knew God better than we did, had an up-close face-to-face kind of relationship, as suggested, knew God was all powerful and everlasting and decided to rebel anyhow, maybe he knew something we didn't.  Maybe he read the OT too.

  9. Jesus!

    Satan is an angel.

Jesus created all things in heaven, including angels!

    COL 1:14-16

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

  10. god sure screws up a lot.  And no one wants to be with him.  not satan, not the demons and not the humans

  11. Read Genesis. The devil is a fallen angel.lucifer.Got greedy and tried to take over so God cast him out of Heaven.

  12. I created the devil.

    Mwah ha ha ha ha.

  13. Jesus Christ created Lucifer, the angel of light.    He did know that Satan would become evil, He knows all.

Evil is the absence of good.  Satan is a creature that lacks the goodness of God.

Satan desired to be God and tried to overthrow God.  He tried - lost and took a 1/3 of the angels with him.

He is the prince of the power of the air, a lion roaming about seeking whom he may devour.

One day, he will be thrown into h**l, along with all of those who are not born again.

    Where will you spend eternity?

  14. Man needed someone to blame for all the negativity and hatred in the world, I mean it has nothing to do with us...does it?.....tch!

  15. Yes God created everything on this world but all are good and no evil.  Satan was an anointed cherub at first but because of his beauty he lifted himself and want to be as high as God, he destroyed himself and became evil.  If you want to know his story read Eze. 28:13-18. And for the devil (who are formerly angels) read Jude 1:-6 and Gen 6:1-6 sons of God referring to angels took the daughters of men as their wives and left their own habitation (heaven) and so committed sin against God.

  16. Here's what I believe:

God did not create darkness, it is the absense of light.

God did not create cold, it is the absense of heat.

God did not create evil, it is the absense of God.

There is evil where there is no God.

And (this is very simplified) the story of Satan is something like this: God's best angel tried to overpower him so God damned him to Earth.

Anyways, I see God as always giving us two choices. I don't think he knows what we're going to do in every situation, because God gave us free will. Every problem we encounter, God says, "Evil, or good?" and we decide.

    Hope this helps. :)

  17. God created a beautiful angel of light that rebelled against Him.  God created h**l for the devil.

  18. Yes, God originally created him as one of his holy angels.  I don't believe God knows exactly what choices we will make.  That's part of our freewill.

  19. You've got it, sister.

It is true that the Bible states that Lucifer (aka Satan, the devil, etc.) was a fallen angel who refused to obey God.  But when it comes down to it, God still created him/it (theoretically).

In real life, man created the devil just like he created the god concept.
