Take a pill Obviousum! I'm a devoted life long fan of Errol Flynn! I simply wanted to know the state of affairs with the estate of a Hollywood legend. I don't think the Los Angeles chamber of commerce would view your judgemental tirade so kindly! Tourism in L.A., and specifically educational tours past Movie Star homes is a Billion dollar industry! So put a lid on it my friend!

  1. Funny answer: Maybe John McCain does?

Real answer: It was torn down in May, 1988.

  2. Flynn's original property had a Mulholland address, at Torreyson Dr. When I was a kid, my friend lived in a very unique home on Torreyson and we could see the Flynn Ranch / Mulholland Farm from it. In the late 80's the Flynn home was torn down and the property (about 10 acres) was split into several lots. I think there are homes on all of the lots now. I read the real estate blogs and I've never seen a mention on who owns the homes built on the lots.

Back when Flynn lost the property to his ex-wife, it was sold to country singer Stuart Hamblen, and then to Ricky Nelson. It's been reported that a lot was owned by Kevin Costner, and Richard Dreyfuss before him, but I think they're confusing a home nearby on Nichols Cyn.

They get lots of lookie-loos up there, but mostly because people want to see the spaceship house (Chemosphere House - built for the Malin family by John Lautner) on Torreyson Dr.

  3. Yeah, that's what I wanna know.

  4. It would be irresponsible to disclose that information in a public forum. If you REALLY want that information, you can go to the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder's office, since that is information that is considered public. However, it should not be broadcast.

Technically, Flynn's house is gone. It was demolished years ago, and the acreage divided into seperate lots. If you're looking for the ghost of Errol Flynn, forget it. Don't bother the people who live there. If you try and tresspass, I can guarantee that you will be spending time in jail. They're rather sensitive about that up there.
