Females, a boy could not handle all the pains of pregnancy and delivery!!!

I am a girl. Lets see a boy go through false labor, being kicked in the ribs, feet swell, then the delivery as long as possible with out drugs.

In theory females have a higher pain threshold due to the natural chemicals they produce to allow them to get through child birth. But it is also down to individual ability also.

That depends on many factors such as: The source; Duration; and location more than the s*x of the individual.

Most studies are either contradictory or inconclusive but here is a pretty recent one that concludes men tolerate pain better (primarily because they dwell less on it)

Women who have babies.  I've had two and I doubt any man could deal with the pain I went through.  Thank the Goddess for pain killers.  Blessed be.

Females can deal with pain better.  I am a woman and have a high tolerance for pain.  I have seen men get piercings and almost.  Plus women go through pregnancy and child birth.  Men may be stronger but they cannot handle pain as well.

I think it depends on the person.

Most women are a tad more sensitive than men. I use the word 'most' lightly because some men are sensitive and some women are much less so.

It also depends on life experiences. Say both your parents died, you may be more sensitive because of losing someone close. Or it could go the other way, you being less sensitive and more angry because it was a terrible thing that happened.

Many people deal with pain differently. It also depends on the kind of pain. My boyfriend plays football, and he handles physical pain like it's nothing. He's had numerous injures from his shoulder to his knees, legs to his back. But he handles emotional pain differently. I cannot handle physical pain very well. Anything more than like getting my belly button pierced would be terrible. But I handle emotional pain much better.

WOMEN!  We have babies.  If men had to give birth, there would be no babies being born!!  Unless you have given birth, you have no idea of the extreme amount of pain and the amount of time you are in pain.

I think its an unfair question. It cant be answered. I know alot of women on here are saying women are better able to handle pain because of childbirth. Now don't get me wrong I have nothing but mad respect for women who bring life into this world. And nothing but respect and admiration for the pain they go through to do it but its unfair to say a man couldn't do it. We've never had to go through childbirth. We've never had to go through the labor or the nine months to carry a child. So how do you know? How do you know that a man cant do it? Just because he's never done it in the past doesn't mean he cant do it. It depends on the individual. I know a woman who believe she was going into labor and was asking for drugs and then as soon as she was told it was an infection she got up and walked out! I ripped my arm open in an industrial accident and walked to the truck to go to the hospital. There is the story of the guy who cut off his own arm with a pocket knife to save his life!! Don't tell me that women can handle pain better just based on childbirth. Just because we've never done it doesnt make it impossible for us to go through. I think it depends on the threshold of the individual.

I am a female and I can tell you that women DO have a higher threshold for pain than a man. There are a couple of definite indisputable facts to support my theory...women have babies...men don't.......women can bleed and cramp up to seven days non-stop.....men don't    (lucky bastar-s) I was told once by a tough tattoo artist and piercer in ALBQ. new mexico that he knows women have an ability to deal and cope with pain that far surpass alot of men he believes this he said because his customers time and time again has proven this bit of factual trivia to him by their reactions to what he does to them. I didn't ask percentage numbers or stat numbers to further support my theory, but I would bet he hadn't given all that any flicker of concern. Now I'm not saying that men can't handle pain nor am i saying that all women are tough to the Nth degree....But as a general rule women CAN and DO handle and deal with pain better.
