jeff does. hes put his body on the line more than cena ever did. remember that 30 foot swaton on RKO? what has cena done that had him hold the belt for over a year on 1 reign? he worked hard, but its mostly cus of his 12 y/o fans and horny teenage girls

Jeff Hardy deserves the WWE Championchip.

He has worked so hard for many years in the WWE. He isn't being used properly. He is one of the most loved superstars on smackdown and still doesnt have the title. He has come to close to many times. Of course cena is a favourite too, but he has had his time. Jeffs career may not be much longer considering he has had already 2 suspensions... Jeff deserves this and it would probably boost smackdown ratings. This is Jeff Hardys time. If he is going to be drafted to smackdown just to boost ratings, he deserves something. He was honest about his mistakes, and he paid for them. Its not just because im a huge jeff hardy fan, but if i look at it from a non-jeff hardy's fan point of view, he still is the most deserving of the WWE title. He is talented and loved among the fans, why wont the wwe open their freaking eyes?

At this point neither. I know it's going to be an unpopular opinion but I'll tell you why.

Jeff Hardy - Incredible in ring talent, very over with the fans, but he's proven unreliable in the locker room, and the wellness policy. If he can keep himself out of trouble give him a World title push, but make him earn it. No need to put a US or IC title on him as he's already had them, and is already over with the fans.

Cena - His act while champion is just stale. Keep the belt off of him for a while, do something new with him. Turn him heel, get him in some good feuds, etc. He has plenty of time for a title run in the future, but let some new talent have a run for a while before just tossing the belt back on his waist. As for the IC & US belts you don't "demote" a former World champ with a secondary title.

I think Matt Hardy deserved a long reign as US champ, and even if he wins the ECW belt it's a meaningless belt and they have effectively buried one of their best talents on a show that very few wrestling fans even watch.
