  1. The founder of the school

In the last few years, our county has started naming the schools based upon the name of the street they are built on.  Prior to that they were named based upon the name of the district they served.  They opened a new high school two years ago, and they posted a poll on line for the mascot and school colors.  Everyone in the county could vote on line.
