Who did you pick to win the cup?

Who did you pick to win the Stanley Cup this year? I want HONEST answers. Did anyone actually pick the Pens and Wings in the SCF?

I picked the Wings to win it all at about mid-season. I watched nearly every regular season game and decided that the Wings would be unstoppable in a 7 game series. I didn't think that they would have walked through the playoffs like they did though.

If you are a Red Wing fan you had to have picked Detroit after the slump busters, mid season, or right before.

I had wings in 6 before the series, saying 5 at Most now. Pitt has only shown inexperience which we all knew about before hand. I just didn't expect it to be this easy (?)

Still baffled, scratching my head!

Again...I see the haters are out as we aren't directly talking about the low-flying Pens here now are we???

I had Wings over Pens...no joke..im 12/14 this year..13/15 if the wings win the cup...only series i got wrong was Rangers/Devils and Stars/Sharks.

Begining of the season - from the West I picked Detroit, from the East I picked the Rangers.

Right before the playoffs started - from the West I picked Detroit, from the East I picked the Habs.

I had Wings over Habs too.  I really wanted to see that series.  After Habs were out, I knew it'd be Wings and Pens.  I'm a Wings fan and was actually feeling a bit nervous cause I thought the Pens were more skilled than they've shown themselves to be in the past 2 games.  It's a cakewalk from here.  Wings in 4 or 5 at most!  I'd love to see 5 cause they'd hold the Cup at the Joe.

At the beginning of the year, I picked the Sharks.  When the playoffs were starting, I picked Sharks over Habs.

Once the sharks were eliminated, I picked the wings.  heh.

Of course, I was rooting for the Rangers the whole time.

EDIT:  I didn't have center ice this year like I had in years past (I moved back to the Rangers' area, so I could watch them on basic cable), so I had a much harder time following the western conference.  I tried, but it was mostly reading occasional game recaps and THN.  So, I assumed the Wings were built for the regular season, like they had been the past few years.  When the playoffs started and I saw them in action... I knew they would win it all.

In the beginning of the playoffs I picked the Habs.  Man, was I wrong.  I also predicted that the Wings would choke...again I am wrong.  It is a good thing I am not a weather forecaster down here in Florida.  "Nahhhh, there is no frigg'in way that hurricane is coming this way!"  LOL.

Seriously though, I didn't pick either of the 2 finalists. The way the last 3 cups went, I was thinking it might be the Habs turn to slide in and grab another one. Being that my wife's a Habs fan, that rationelle looked like it might be good for my s*x life (insert additional Leafs comments here).

I picked the Devils to win - because I wanted them to win - but I realistically picked the Wings to win it all.  I mean, who wouldn't?  They completely dominated the regular season, and they've been killing their opponents left and right in the playoffs.

I also picked the Canadiens to be in the Cup final...but that didn't exactly work out.  haha.

I've been saying Pens over Sharks all season. After the conference finals, I said Pens over Wings in 6. It's still possible, but HIGHLY unlikely.

I think I had Montreal and Detroit when the playoffs were determined. Before the regular season I would probably have said NY Rangers or Ottawa versus Anaheim or San Jose.

I chose the San Jose Sharks and the New York Rangers from the pre-season. I kept replying with "Sharks and Rangers" to all the "Who will win the cup" questions in the hope that, when the two teams DID make the finals, I could dedicate an entire question to all the times I predicted it.

well i pick the red wings every year since 88 but with how well both pitt and detroit played in the previous 3rds i thought it would be a great series and they both had similar gamestyles... id never pick pitt because wings are a complete team not to mention they have been there before... i dont care about experience tho wings are better skilled and a better team thats why they will win the stanley cup... even if pens cant admit it

Of course I picked the Wings to win and hopefully they will put the Pens out of their misery on Saturday.

I was hoping for a good series though but since that hasn't happened yet I am hoping for a SWEEEEEEP!!!!!

I have season tickets (didn't buy playoff though...too expensive) and they are just so good and unstoppable.   I love how they work as a team and really mesh together.
