  1. Who can discover India ? It is one of the most ancient and most advanced civilizations in the world. we were always there. If somebody else comes from outside and says "I discovered India" , then I pity on him.

    India was always there, dating back to Indus Valley Civilization (c. 3000–1500 BCE, Mature period 2600–1900 BCE.

    The Vedic period (or Vedic Age) is the period in the history of India during which the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism, were being composed. Scholars place the Vedic period in the second and first millennia BCE continuing up to the 6th century BCE based on literary evidence.

    The Greeks invaded India several times, starting with the conquest of Alexander the Great in 327 BC.

    Dom Vasco da Gama was a Portuguese explorer and the commander of the first ships to sail directly from Europe to India in 1498.

    Christopher Columbus actually never made it to India. Instead, he "discovered" the West Indies.
