Who do Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea need to sign
With only a couple of weeks left till the start of the season, the original big four of the Premier League are looking to strengthen their squad in hopes of having a successful season this coming term. All the teams are already on the verge of signing players. However here is a look at the players that the big four need to target.
Manchester United have not been the same ever since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. They are lacking a player that provides skill and creativity to their attack, while helping taking attention of Rooney. Rooney might have had a terrific season last time around, but in hopes of continuing this success he needs a player to team up with. Most experts believe that, that player should be Mesut Ozil. Ozil has been in fantastic form for Werder Bremen and has also been a phenomenal force for Germany. He has expressed his desire to join United and might just be the right player to be brought into the club.
Arsenal have not managed to win a trophy for five years now. They were once the most successful team in England but have now fallen way behind Manchester United and even Chelsea. Arsenal are having a major crisis in their defence. They are currently lacking a world class goal keeper and two more quality defenders. Wenger managed to bring in Koscienly to help with the defence but Arsenal need at least two more. They also need a keeper who is capable of keeping. If Arsenal fail to recruit the right players then they might just have another trophy less season.
Liverpool have fallen from grace over the past couple of seasons. They are a team that have won five European competitions and had almost always finished in the top four of the Premier League. However things are not quite the same at Anfield as they once were. Liverpool finished seventh last season and this occurrence resulted in their manager Rafa Benitez getting fired. Ever since his departure every other Liverpool player has been considering his future at the club. Players like Mascherano have made it more than clear that they don’t wish to stay at the club. While players like Gerrard and Torres are caught in the middle of some mass confusion and are not quite sure as to what they need to do. What Liverpool need to do is firstly sign players to replace those who are leaving for sure, that player is namely Mascherano. Scott Parker would be ideal replacement for the player and seems like a possibility. On the other hand they also need to beef up their squad and bring in players to help have a more successful season. They one player who would be perfect for Liverpool is Ashley Young. Liverpool are lacking a decent winger and Young might just be the player to fill that position.
Chelsea are the current Champions of England. Most people would believe that this meant that their squad is perfect. That is not quite the case and their manager Carlo Ancelotti is well aware of this fact. With players like Joe Cole and Michael Ballack leaving the team, replacements need to be brought in. Currently the players that Chelsea are looking to sign are, Ramires and Neymar. Both of those players are Brazilian and have been more than great with their current teams. The other player that Chelsea need is a solid striker who is built like Drogba. Since Chelsea’s attacks are based around Drogba being physically superior to most players, they would be taking a giant step back if the player way to get injured.
