The Premier League season kicked off with a bang back in August. With new look teams, new managers and new players all waiting to test their luck in the world’s greatest top level football league, this season looks set to be a cracker.
However, that’s what we say every season, expecting the unexpected, and are still left bewildered and entertained beyond our imagination. With the season up and running, the Premier League table is still far from taking shape. 7 games have gone by, and so
far, the season has been anything but unpredictable.
The season only just started, and already there is talk about a number of players being linked to certain clubs, or the need for some clubs to invest in certain players. Here’s a look at a few teams, and the players that they are likely to go for in the
winter transfer window, and what they will bring.

The Gunners started off their season in solid fashion, registering three clean sheets and some impressive work at the back, which was highly uncharacteristic of them. The departures of Robin Van Persie and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Song-c4804 were soon forgotten as new signing Santi
Cazorla, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 and Olivier Giroud settled in at the Emirates. Cazorla has been a revelation for the midfield, and it looks like the North London club have finally found a creative genius to replace the void left by Cesc Fabregas’ departure.
Lukas Podolski has shown that he is a hard working engine, with his recent solid performances and tireless work rate. Giroud on the other hand has still not properly settled in, scoring only 1 goal in 7 league appearances. The Frenchman brings an added physical
dimension to the Gunners’ attack, but his finishing leaves a lot to be desired.
At this point, Arsenal need another striker, someone to provide competition for Giroud and help share the burden of goal scoring in the wake of Van Persie’s exit. That someone could be Newcastle’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276. However, the
latter’s price tag puts him out of Arsenal’s reach, and Ba remains a likely and realistic target. Currently, Ba is the highest scorer in the league, and is a typical running centre forward, similar to former Arsenal great Nwankwo Kanu
The club also needs a physical and imposing defensive midfield player, keeping in mind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Fellaini-c24295 is considered the most likely candidate, but Everton may not part ways with their star player that easily.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786
Chelsea have been surprisingly brilliant this season, playing some of the best football they’ve never played. The team acquired the likes of Brazilian whiz kid http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Victor-Moses-c36075, already adding to their impressive squad.
With quality internationals such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 and Juan Mata present in the team, Chelsea have assembled a star attacking team. However, many question the Blue’s title ambitions since they only have Torres as an out-and-out striker.
In light of this, the club has been linked with a big money move for Radamel Falcao, who fits the bill and is in the club’s price range. However, with the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules coming into effect next season, and many sources from within the club
refuting the link, it seems unlikely.
Manchester United
Manchester United have had an uncharacteristic start to the season so far. The club made a big money signing for star striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 from German champions Borussia Dortmund.
However, the team has struggled at the back and in midfield, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 the only players they can consistently depend on.
The back four has been plagued by injuries, with captain and key defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 has also shown signs of slowing down, as his recent performances signalled this.
United therefore need a solid defensive midfielder, who can shield the back four and allow the likes of Scholes, Carrick and Cleverley to venture forward. According to popular opinion, Toulouse player Etienne Capoue is considered a good choice for the former
English champions. The player is the ideal modern day holding midfielder, and will surely boost the team’s chances of retaining the title.
The club also needs a central defender who can stay fit the whole season and be a commanding presence at the back. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Shawcross-c31996 seems like a wise and ideal choice for the Red Devils. Shawcross,
already an established and experienced league defender will bring physical dominance and the old English factor that Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson loves.
