Who do I change firmware?

Im a definate n00b at psp handling. And I want to play an Emulator on my psp, but I get error codes. then I was told To get custom firmware. But I have no idea how to change it at all! How can I change the firmware of my psp? Google didnt help, yahoo didnt help, other ppls questions didnt help, so please, if anybody out there has done it, PLEASE tell me how Im supposed to change firmware!

Check the Sony Web site.

In most cases,

you download an iso image of the new firmware

Burn a CD

Put the CD and the device automatically detects the new firmware and upgrades itself.
