Question:

Who do I complain to about traffic light behavior?

I just moved to a new city, and every day on the way home from work I get really annoyed by the same traffic lights. So, there are like 3-5 traffic lights one after another. I'll come up to the first one and it will be red. The next light ahead will be green (and it is very close, mind you). That light will turn red, and THEN my light will turn green. So I get to go a little bit and stop. Repeat for all of the next lights.

And the real kicker is, it will turn green to let one or two cars go by, while I'm stuck at this red light with 20-30 other cars. It just doesn't make sense to me! Sometimes while I'm sitting at that red light, there will be no traffic coming from any direction. Everyone is just stopped.

Who can I complain to about this?

  1. You can complain to the Wizard of Oz. If he gave the scarcrow a brain and the tin man a heart, I know he can help you, too.

  2. This is done purposely to make you slow down and look at the business on the street. Our area was nice and fast threw the lights then the business complained to the council and they changed them. Try going another way or complain to the council and see if you can increase the traffic flow threw them. Good luck
