I am trying to find a list of homes with tax liens or that have been foreclosed on in my area. I have looked online, but have only come across all those sites that want you to pay a fee. I know this is info you do not have to pay for, I'm just not sure where to find it. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

  1. What you seek is free.  The County Recorders Office has the complete list of foreclosures.  THey are helpful.  Walk in and you will walk out with a list.   Foreclosure auctions require cash,  Cash only.  No loans.  No 30 day closings.  That is why no one bids at them.

If someone doesn't pay their property tax for 2 years, you can pay the tax for them.  If they don't pay up in 3 more years, you go to court and get the deed.  If you wait 2 additional years, you don't have to even go to court-they just hand you the deed.  This list is at the County Treasurers Office.  Free.    I have bought 40 of these and never once got to own the house.  Everyone paid their taxes by the 5th year.  I was paid back my money plus 16% interest. /

  2. tax liens, the county treasury dept

    ---------

foreclosed, something trac, I subscribe to them

  3. Try the county clerk's office.  Some counties have this info available online and some will require a visit in person.  Where I live the clerk's office runs the sales on the courthouse steps.
