Who do I drop to make room for a starting pitcher?

I have to disagree with some popular answers and say to probably drop Loney becuase you have Guillen and Pena will be coming off the DL soon with Tampa doing really well. You can find another average 1B like Loney.

Cano is not having a great year to start but he did the same thing last year. If you look at his stats after the all star break last year you will see a dramatic jump.

Last year he had 6 HR, 40 RBI , and was batting .274.

After the allstar break he had 13 HR, 57 RBI and batted .343

Same exact story in 2005. It's a risk to drop Cano now given his track record. I'm sure someone will swoop him up and you will regret it.

Drop cano. He's been in such a horrible slump all year, his defense is below adequate, makes quite a few errors.

He was great last year, but I dont know whats up with him this.

I say you drop either Cano,Pierre, or Loney. You can replace them all with a better player if you drop cano you replace him with Yunel Escobar. If you drop Pierre you replace him with Granderson. Then if you drop Loney you put Carlos Guillen at first then Yunel Escobar at third. I would drop Pierre.

is between granderson, pierre or cano for me. granderson is a total bust, cano looked like jhe was going to be back to normal but immediatly got cold again plus u can put escobar as a replacement in 2nd. last pierre, who gets steals but will affect all other offensive categories. but go with granderson, no trade value, pierre at least steals and cano is on a much more productive offense. pierre helps in one category but cano and granderson dont help at all. is ur choice between those 2.

I would drop Cano, you can have escobar replace him since cano is having such a hard time this year. And history has proven that non-stars have a hard time getting it together in NY during a slump season.
