I'm really interested in learning Japanese. I might be going there someday , and it's always fascinated me. Everyone's always saying it'd be pointless to learn it since I might never use it, but hey it's my dream so I'm going to try. What is one of the better courses for learning it? I've heard Rosetta Stone is fabulous, but also really expensive. Is there one just as good but a little cheaper? Thanks so much =)

  1. Read the japanese newspaper or watch some anime or something.

  2. school

  3. kosuke fukudome

  4. you could search on the internet for the best tutors with the cheapest prices around your town.  Rosetta Stone may be expensive, but its worth it.  Before my sister went to Japan, she took a course on rosetta stone and made it through 4 years in Japan without letting people know she was american.

take the internet! its the best helper!!

  5. Try doing an intense language program. We have one on our campus in the summer. You can learn an entire year's worth of language study in eight weeks. Since it is an immersive experience you learn quickly and retain the information better.

Check with your local colleges and universities for a similar program. Otherwise, a larger university probably offers beginning Japanese during the academic year.

I think it is great to learn another language, especially one that is uncommon for Americans to study (e.g. Spanish, French, German)

    Good luck!

PS- Check on itunes. They usually have free language podcasts.
