Who do i believe?

from having no bike shops in my town, i was glad when one opened ive built up a bond with the guy he has always come across very helpful, now another one has opened i went there today his prices are alot higher but there also slightly btter named product's, he did nothing but sl ag the other bloke of and told me not to trust him, is this just shops competing against each other? when i told my regular bike shop he said plain and siple if you wanna go there go if you wanna stay with me fine, which got me thinking, he also said he had to close his last shop because of this same guy bad mouthing him put him out of buiesness, i due to have alot of work done on my bike who do i go with?.

  1. Bottom line-if the work done is OK accept it. If you are uncomfortable then either try the other place or learn how to do it yourself. Most bike maintenance is easy to DIY; I've been doing it for 20+ years. As long as you are happy with the component quality and your own competence, then go for the cheaper option.

  3. First guy has come across as helpful, you have a bond with him, has been good to your biking needs....

    Then comes a loud mouth that only puts a guy down....

    To me,  this is an easy option, don't you think so?

  4. Stick with the first guy...the other sounds like an asshat.

  5. You go with your gut. Remember that those who bad mouth others are trying to keep the focus off them for some reason:)
