Who do i call and what info do i need if my xbox360 gets the red ring of death ?

i would like to know what is the num you call what do i need so i am ready to call and how long it will take till i get it back.

my friend got his back in two weeks when he got the rings

also a bit of advice DO NOT try the towel trick, it may work, or it may void your warranty.

you call xbox support - its in the manual and on their web site

it will take anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending. additionally, you will likely not receive your xbox in return. you will likely receive a refurbished xbox.

your gonna call 18004MYXBOX and your gonna go to repairs and talk to a guy and he says theyll send you a prepaid box to put your xbox in, it comes within 3-4 days and you put the xbox in the box and send it to texas and its all free, it should come back within a month or so good as new

i dont know the num, but u have to call Microsoft, and it will take about a month or two.

Go to xbox.com/support and type in the serial number.which is on the back of the xbox.It will tell you if it is still in warranty.If it is you can set up a repair.They will send you a box to ship it in.Its free.But if its out of warranty.you will have to pay to get it fixed

go to xbox.com and go to their customer support section. I had my 360 break about a year ago and i called that night and you have to go through this whole thing of pushing buttons for them to find out what the problem is and then they finnally put you through to someone that lives in india and then u have to give all your info about yourself then they ask what the problem is then you tell them then after about half an hour they ask for the serial code on the back of it. Then they'll tell you if its still under warrenty thank god mine was. Then they mail a box out to you within a day or so u put ur xbox in it and mail it to the return address. its all free and then after about 3 weeks i got mine back. Actually i think it was a brand new one. also take your harddrive and faceplate off b4 you send it.
