Doesn't matter as you probably don't own your mineral rights.  In other words they already know theres oil there and they are HORIZONTALLY tapping it already because they don't want to have to pay you a royalty for drilling on your property.  FYI you'd only get a very small % of the $$$ coming from any oil produced on your property if you don't own the mineral rights too...If you do than good for you...but it's not likely--check your deed for MINERAL RIGHTS.  PEACE!

If you dont know anyone who leases mineral rights try contacting the Corporation Commission in your state.  They should have a list of operators registered to do business in the state.  You probably know if you own the mineral rights.  If not, make sure you do.  In some states mineral rights and surface land rights are separate.  A royalty interest is about 1/8 or 3/16.  But it adds up.  Especially at todays oil and natural gas prices.
