Who do men treat me this way?!?

Question

I am 28 and work with a group of 40+. I have noticed a common theme. When I am speaking to a gentleman in private he will carry on a conversation with me forever. But in front of other people, they won't act like they want to talk to me? What gives! I'm not dumb by any means, but once the board president made a comment about my age and another guy made a comment about how i looked like his ex from his 20's.

They do not want to give the impression that something is going on, or be viewed as that type of predator. Office gossip and innuendo is a terrible thing

simple.  they're men.  they probably couldn't even tell you why.  If it bothers you so much, ask them point blank!  make em squirm! lol
