  1. "A good friend of ours said that if the same laws were applied to U.S. presidents as were applied to the n***s after World War II that every single one of them, every last rich white one of them from Truman on would have been hung to death and shot - and this current administration is no exception. They should be hung, and tried, and shot. As any war criminal should be. "

  2. i don't think anyone could answer that...each one had their good points and their bad points...also i assume that each one left a mess for the next guy to clean up....i don't put as much blame on the president as i do congress all together...congress has so much of the good ole boy network going on....i think we need to throw out the whole works and start all over again with new...under 50k middle class people that know how hard they worked for their money

  3. Andrew Jackson.  He started Jacksonian Democracy that surgically separated morality from public service.  Old Hickory was indeed the founder of the feast of politics.  And with his administration no issue was ever a moral issue. It was a legislation and political rewards to the animals who followed the pack.   The death of Meriwether Lewis in 1809, the likely successor to the Jeffersonians as president, sealed the U.S. to a different path.  Power without conscience.

  4. George Dubya Bush.  His dad was pretty bad too.  Reagan was way overrated and screwed the poor.

How can you say that Clinton was one of the worst?  Seriously?  He lead us into one of the most prosperous eras in our history!  Seriously?!!?!?!  It can only be King George...

You could ask the 600,000 dead Iraqi civilians or the 4,000 dead american soldiers.  Oh wait no- you can't.  They are dead because of GEORGE BUSH'S LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. So many too choose from, I mean Bush is the classic choice but Clinton was a complete failure as was all the rest of them. I will give you the best president of all time, his name is William McKinley and the only reason he was any good is because of Leon Czolgosz shooting him. Every president from Washington on was a bad president. Then again the whole idea of presidency is pretty bad, sort of that whole idea of dictatorships and oligarchical fascism comes to mind!

  6. My two cents would be old honest Abe....

He suspended the right to  Habeus Corpus

He arrested several members of the Maryland State government to prevent them from voting on succesion.  When one of them made a petition to the supreme court and the Military refused to allow the man to appear in court, Cheif Justice Taney wrote a blistering court opinion that so enraged Lincoln that 'Honest Abe' issued a warrant for his arrest.

He used his office to shut down nearly 300 newspapers and imprison nearly 40,000 people, including the Democrat Gubentorial Candidate of Ohio because he questioned the war.

He called up volunteers and began war appropriations (contracts going to friends of Seward and Stanton and other Republican big wigs) without asking congress or even calling a special session.

And then people wonder where Bush learned how to be a such a staunch defender of the constitution <insert sarcastic snort>

  7. worst president ever hmm tough Idi Amin would have to be up there somewhere....

But I think you are probably asking about whom might've been the worst United Statesian president, if that is the case then it would have to be the current one hands down. He doubled the debt, doubled the income disparity, doubled the trade deficit, cut in half the value of the dollar, begun a ton of unfunded programs pillaging other valid programs to get them going that meant neither the ones he started nor the existing ones could reach their goals. Destroyed our rights, destroyed the United Statesian reputation in the world, started wars we can't win and can't get out off ...

I could go on and on but you get the point.

  8. we'll never know ... no one person was alive to witness all of them ... and not everybody has witnessed a presidency from different areas of the country (deep south, northeast, southwest) and different walks of life (rich, poor, black, white, etc.)

the general consensus, since america is in a pretty bad shape, (compared to years prior) is that gw bush is (though it would be hard to back up for the aforementioned reasons)

who knows ... the rich may have had it better under gw bush than the poor

  9. Obviously most will say GWB but Ronald Regan was responsible for an even worse reign of terror across central America and crushed democracy wherever it raised it's ugly head across Southern and central America. JFK was another disgrace to the human race with his failed invasion of Cuba and subsequently bringing the world to the brink of full blown nuclear war. Fact is that whenever you concentrate so much power in the hands of one person they become a monster if they weren't one to begin with. The great failure of the America is it's inabilty to check the power of the executive.

  10. honestly, i think it is dumb to say that bush has been the worst president ever.  Even though he is insane, there are many worst presidents. I don't like him, i never have, but i think it is really stupid to blame him for everything, like gas prices and things like that.

  11. The morals of Bill Clinton were detrimental to the teenagers of America.  He also stood by while 2 Embassies and the USS Cole were bombed.  Indirectly, Clinton's lack of dealing with the enemy brought about 9/11.  You can't ignore an enemy.  Our enemy is more than a few men in a cave.  The enemy penetrates and is supported by every radical Islamic nation in the Middle East, plus Russia.

  12. Bush v2. Finished what his father started. Why is nepotism acceptable for the presidency when it's wrong for the workplace? I'm not saying I'm a better leader but I mean I get better grades than he did in college. I don't go to any ivyleague school, but he got to go to one because of who his father was.

Al Gore warned us "Stay away from the Bushes!"

  13. I hate to disagree with the rest but to me warren Harding was by far the worse president EVER. The man cheated on his wife in the White House Cloak Room, yeah Clinton did too

but, wait there is more, Harding had liquor parties consisting of Alcohol seized by Government Agents, remember this was Prohibition. Father at least 1 illegitimate kid by his mistress and had 4 cabinet members go to jail or commit sucicide

before they could be convicted on charges of corruption. The man made our current president look like a MENSA member.

        Hope this helps.

         packers.

  14. Bush Jr look at what he has done to this country. Started wars on false info. Stripping away the rights gave to us by our forefathers. All around take away from us americans what makes us americans. We also have lost our freedom of speech. Not to speak of our loss of a right to privacy.

  15. George Bush.

The man who has shown less respect to the U.S. Constitution than any other President.  He has abused his powers, and trapped the American people in an America that is on the verge of economic collapse, while suffering from a loss of individual liberty.

  16. Well I can't answer this question honestly because I have only been through two different presidencies that I can remember which have been Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush. The other one I was like 1 to about 4 when he was president so I don't even remember who it was. I can say one thing you just wait years later there will be another president of which people are going to think was the worst president of all times.

  17. Until this guy it was Nixon. Not just Watergate but how he prosecuted (or didn't prosecute) the Vietnam war. We did not bomb North Vietnam from before LBJ last office until 72 or so. He screwed the country of Cambodia, did nothing about Laos, though that was a secret war for a while. Plus the enemies list, the campaign fraud, the whole ball of wax.

The other one would have been Buchanan. His inability to do anything led to the Civil War under Lincoln. Way too much to put in an email.

But Bush is doing way too much that is illegal, from Gitmo, to iIraq, to FISA, TSA, the economy, the lack of response to Katrina, he takes the cake. A real moron. And a criminal for a vice president.

He has set the military back probably as bad as it was after Vietnam, its going to take a ton of money to rebuild. Look at the retention and reup rate, how much damage the National guard is in, to just the waste in contracting.

But, hey, pump your gas and shut up. Or wasn't that McCain's new slogan?

  18. James Buchanan-

The Union fell apart because he was an incompetent who couldn't manage the nation. If he had never been president, we could have avoided the Civil War and thousands of deaths. I don't think its Bush mainly because most generations hate their president, you have to step back, 20 or 30 years later and see the lasting effects of their presidency.

  19. Richard Nixon.

  20. I would say Bush.  He will leave the US broke, the Dollar almost worthless and inflation high.  People like to mention Carter, but they forget that Carter was left dealing with the high inflation that came as a result of the Vietnam War and the Nixon policies of "guns and butter".  Bush already has the lowest rating of any president in the history of ratings.

  21. I am a union man and think of reagan as the man who finally succeeded in breaking the backs of unions in america. it started as soon as he started the first term with the air traffic controllers union. i have never gotten over that. that was the worst.

  22. If we claim  that we have a 'democracy' then logic would suggest that 'the people' are to blame......(I  hope you can see where I am going with this...)

The US and Canadian political systems are lies, they call themselves 'democracies' but in reality we 'elect' dictators....

Which elected President will have the nerve to give his power  away  to the people by changing the system....?

  23. George H. W. Bush!  Because he gave us Bush Jr.

Former President George H.W. Bush had once famously said: “I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors.”

  24. Bush II. It's also too early to tell, but if first signs mean anything, he has got a lot to answer for. We know he is responsible for the death of a lot of people who never hurt him or us. We wonder if he has so disturbed the entire Middle East quadrant of the globe that years and years may pass while the people there and the people here suffer for what he has done. Will we get habeas corpus back? Will the thumb s***w become standard operating procedure, or will it be returned to the Middle Ages whence George Bush found it?

  25. Well I would have to say President Bush!(Not the old one, the one we have right now!!) I can't believe the mess he has gotten us into. We are in a war we don't need to be in. He sent us to this war for weapons that Suddam didn't have. He has drove our economy into the ground, gas prices are at an all time high, opened up off shore drilling when we didn't need to, cost the United States almost a trillion dollars in that no good war, etc etc!! It seems like he doesn't even think before he makes a decision. He just makes it! He has to be the worst president ever!

  26. For every one of the real dogs (Bush x2, Harding, Polk, Van Beuren) there are  a pack of adequate executives, some of whom did good things or even notable things, but were either balanced by negatives or shot down by the circumstances that were handed to them (Johnson is perhaps the classic example).

W will go down, I am confident, as the worst President we have ever had, against some stiff competition (e.g., Harding).  The damage he has done -- diplomatic, social, financial, military -- will take generations to correct. He richly deserves to be impeached, or even tried as a war criminal.  But I don't think we are up to that.

everyone is too fat, dumb, and happy ...

  27. I think FDR and Carter are tied.  FDR created a situation where the soviets took over eastern Europe and in thoe 50 years, not only the US, but the soviet union spend untold hundreds of trillions ofr dollars on things that could have been better spent on medicine and science. He also set up programs that were weel meaning but have since weakened  society.  Such as welfare and social security.  Allowing societies dredges like druggies, drunks, gamblers, ect. to continue to abuse society definitely weakens society in many ways.  And another thing i do not like about FDR was his brilliant court packing scandal.  He tried to increase the number of justice on the court to guarantee his programs would be instituted.  arter was abd president because he meant well, but he was just in over his head.  But the wrst part of his actions came after leaving office.  He suppossedly negotiatiated with N Korea in 94 to stop ther nuclear program.  And look at em now,Bush is taking the heat unfairly for north korea.  Carter has also done alot of damage about hsi statements about presidents since he left office and propping up terrorists organization.  Recently he gave credibility to Hamas.

  28. our current one and to the one who said the next one unless they are talking about john mccain and i even think he is better then our current one. he had so much experience that he took the country into the toilet. i think the next one that comes in deserves the chance to be in office a full 2 years. no matter what our oppions are.the clown who said that the next one obviously agreed with everything gw has done. what a lame spy.

  29. Although I do not agree with alot of things that Clinton did, and I didn't want Hillary as president, who could argue that he was the worst president? Look at how he left us economic-wise, the best we have seen in quite a while. I would have to say that Bush isn't the worst either, though he is close. Depends on your perspective.

  30. George W. Bush.  He isn't just crass and incompetent.  He has abused his power to profit financially from the war and to protect himself and his cronies from the legal action they deserve, and those are only two of the worst offenses.  A complete list would be too long for this forum.

Reagan was a close second because he was the first neocon.  He started the foolish and self-destructive borrow-and-spend approach that the neocons still use to this day.  At least he had an excuse because he was suffering from Alzheimer's disease.  What's Bush's excuse?  Alcoholism?

  31. lincoln and what in the constitution changed between 1848 and 1861?                                                                                                   "Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can may revolutionize and make their own of so many of the territory as they inhabit.
