  1. not Wade, you forgot Deron Williams. Trust me, he will be up there next year.

  2. I like your list but you should add the constant at least another slot for Tim Duncan.

    2EZ!!

  3. funny how nobody said kobe.. you cant deny hes gotta be at least top 4

the other 3 would be of course lebron cause hes got plentty of fans who would vote for him, and of course he got the game to back it up

chris paul - leading the league in assists , and breaks down defenses with ease

& to mix it up a little so im not copyin your list id go with the forgotten player..

tracy mcgrady- hes one of my personal favorites and he has game, but his team just needs to get out of the 1st round

honorable mention: Baron Davis for rewriting the clippers as competitive with the lakers

  4. dirk

    deron

    t-mac

    kidd

  5. Paul will win it this year.

  6. STARTING AT POINT GUARD, FROM GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, ALLEN IVERSON!!!!!

  7. Kobe Bryant

    Kevin Garnett

    Lebron James

    Chris Paul

Honorable mention:  Tracy McGrady, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan

I have to disagree with Wade as a MVP candidate for next season.  You are going to see a nice improvement from the Miami Heat for the 2008-09 season, but they are not going to be in the league's elite, and the MVP tends to go to the best player on a championship contending team.  Next season the Heat will not be at that level, so as good as Wade is, he won't be an MVP candidate next year.

If I could pick a fifth player, my sleeper MVP candidate would be Tracy McGrady.  With the acquisition of Ron Artest, the Houston Rockets are going to become one of the league's elite teams.  If the  Rockets can finish towards the top of an ultra-competitive Western Conference, Tracy McGrady will start to be in MVP discussions.  He won't win it though - the top 4 candidates I mentioned are too strong.

  11. 1.Kobe Bryant

    2.Chris Paul(The man kicks azz)

    3.Big Ticket

4.If the Cavs make a good season then LeBron maybe

  12. There are so many people that could possibly win it, it's hard to say...

Lebron has had the best statistics for 4 straight years now. Next season he'll be averaging in the area of 30, 7 and 7 again. But will Mo' Williams be enough to get the Cavs a good enough record (55 wins) to get Lebron some consideration. Same situation with Dwayne Wade. He'll put up the numbers, but his team record is a huge question mark.

Kobe, Yao Ming, and Chris Paul are going to be right there because they're teams are so good, and they'll put up the stats. They'll all have close to, or above 60 wins next season.

KG and Tim Duncan could be there as well, because they're teams will be in the thick of it, with some good records as well, but they won't put up the big numbers necessary to win it.

Some who I'd think are on the brink, but may not be quite there yet, are Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, and Dwight Howard.

A couple dark horses are also Steve Nash, (highly doubt he'll get a 3rd, but the Suns can surprise people) Chris Bosh, Elton Brand, Dirk Nowitzki.

So anyway, my top 4 would be, in order.

    1) Lebron James

    2) Kobe Bryant

    3) Chris Paul

    4) Dwight Howard

  13. I don't know but a lot of people here hates Kobe. Why?

MVP Candidates (In order) My Prediction:

    1. Kobe Bryant - Back to Back MVP for KB24

    2. LeBron James - Not this year LeBron. Another year maybe.

    3. Tracy Mcgrady - With Artest in the mix, if this team wins 60 games, no doubt, T-Mac is a candidate.

    4. Deron Williams - He'll be better than Paul -- or so I believe.

    5. Gilbert Arenas - If he leads the Wizards to 50 wins, Agent Zero is not to be denied.
