  1. I agree with global warming is a swindle.

The reason is in 1973-74 college school year I was a lab assistant for a Organic Chemistry Professor. That professor and some others were involved in the original studies involving Chlorofluorocarbons and Ozone. It was all done in test chambers where ratios of CFC's to Ozone and Electrical voltages had to be so tight as to be virtually impossible for nature to reach them in large quantities. The Freon destroys the ozone layer was an outright lie to get more government grants. I asked my Prof. and he admitted as much. the original grant did not cover more than about 40% of what they needed so they made up the experiments to fit the results desired.  Since then the Global Warming has become the Liberal Religion.

  2. More scare tactics. In the 70's we were told we would run out of gas by the year 1999. In the 80's and 90's it was the ozone layer. Now global warming.

The earth follows cycles hundreds of years long. Yes there were ice ages in the past. There was also great warming eras. Scientists receive money from either grants or private interests for research. If a paper is not presented in a favorable light to the grant giver, they may lose their funding. So if global warming is the hot topic. Researchers will work towards supporting their hypothesis that suits them. Follow the money. notice how much money is now being made in the new "green" industries.By the way, Al Gore is not a scientist or researcher.

  3. Ah, global warming.

Do you know that glaciers used to cover a large portion of the United States.

    What happened to them?

They disappeared long before the industrial revolution and the use of carbon based fuels in factories and automobiles.

The earth has been warming for years.  It is part of a cycle.

Do you know that prominent scientists--many, many--as recently as the 1970s were sure we were entering a new ice age?

A pox on both your houses.

  4. I definately don't agree with Gore.  I have heard about all of the natural processes the earth goes through.  Yes, there have been cycles of warming and freezing before we ever came to be and they will continue long after we are gone.

  5. Most people haven't seen the "great global warming swindle." They should. I bought it and showed it to my liberal sister. It convinced her. what gave it even more credibility in her mind is that it's not a true movie, it originally aired on BBC television.

j needs to watch the movie. It is packed with about a dozen credible scientists, all of whom were named by Al Gore as being part of the "consensus." They all said global warming was hogwash, and their reports used by Al Gore were taken out of context.

Personally, I think the modern day enviromental movement is a religion. Think about it. We all must behave a certain way, and put our recyclables out on the curb as a sacrafice, or some invisible force will punish us all. You cannot argue with a believer, anymore than you could tell a Christian or a Muslim their diety is phoney.

  6. Neither. I do not see Al Gore as proposing a swindle. His presentation is that an eminent group of scientists have this opinion, and he presents some graphics that most of them would generally agree with. He is serving as a front man for science. He does however go on to argue strongly for a course of action which by his own numbers looks to be too little, too late to accomplish the task of stopping global warming.

Remember that he has been telling this story for over a decade now, and with negative results. The USA appears to be committed to going on another decade or more before it starts to lower emissions in any significant way. By that time, we expect the damage will be irreversible.

That is, by that time simply removing the cause of anthropomorphic  global warming will no longer stop global warming. By then constraints in supply of fossil fuels, not concern for global warming, will be driving any reduction in emissions.

Right now, so eager are Americans to reduce the cost of gasoline that they are ready to attack the last great reserves of petroleum and use up the in-ground strategic reserves even as they abandon in-tank reserves. Still no serious plans to convert from coal to nuclear, to wind, to solar, to geothermal. Still but a trivial interest in moving to super-low consumption vehicles or to public transit.

So, no, Mr Gore was not fundamentally wrong, just too little too late.

  7. Al Gore is a moron, from his giant inbred head to the toes of his sweatshop produced loafers.

    Global warming is cyclical.

In a couple of hundred years there will be some loser talking about how if we do this or that is makes it cold.

    It's a little warm. Enjoy...........

  8. Gore.  The other side is propaganda.

  9. i agree with Al Gore and his team of world renowned scientists. i agree that global warming is an issue, regardless of whether it is the result of irresponsible humans or a cycle the earth goes through. the ice caps are melting, the hurricanes are becoming more prevalent and stronger, twisters are occurring in places they never have before, the ocean's ecological system has changed drastically, and more and more animals are becoming extinct. i'd say global warming is real and needs to be dealt with immediately.

  10. Global warming is a swindle. Just follow the money trail.

  11. i away agree with gore he is one heller cool azz white dude
