**I"d have to say Joel Selwood ... like everyone else it seems!

He had such a great first season, won the Rising Star, was in a winning Grand Final and then followed up his following season in the same form that he finished his first.  Scary thing is that he can only get better.

If he wasn't competiting against the likes of Gary Ablett Jnr and Jimmy Bartel at Geelong, I'd say he'd be a chance to win the Brownlow but I don't think it'll happen for him this year - in the future though if he keeps up this form he'll be a great chance to win it.

Good luck to Joel because he's only a young guy with his whole career still in front of him.**

It has to be Joel Selwood. Already he has won the rising star award, been a member of the Big V, and is in the running for this years brownlow medal.... he is already a star and he's getting better!

Selwood great choice just a ball magnet and uses it well.

but if your going to put last years picks in there too,

what about Rioli, as a forward he doesn't sit around the ball playing through the center line, playing a difficult position and still highly rated by opposition teams.

Cotchin will be even better next year as he didn't do a full preseason this year.

Gibbs has improved so much this year .... but he does have Judd and Willaims helping him.

Beau Wilkes

both these guys have been on the eagles list since 2005 and have just gotten their big call up this year and are now playing as senior players, providing a key forward in the forward line  (Mckinley) and a good defender (Wilkes) - especially mckinley who is kicking bags of seven goals and five goals and four goals - which is an amazing achievement and beau wilkes takes on the big forwards and usually does play well on them, he always takes strong marks from the defensive side and id say (besides tom harley doing it from geelong - he is outstanding) he would be the best at taking oppisition marks.

Also joel selwood from geelong is just so fast and plays as such a good senior player for the cats - and rhys palmer of the dockers is hot favourite for the nab risiing star, he is so fast and always kicks goals
